I'm experiencing trolls in 1/4 ranked games at Diamond. This has been getting consistently worse.
I've been playing ranked at high rating since season 1, and I've had the pleasure of watching this shit become more and more prevalent with each season. It's now reached the point where 9/10 times something happens that someone doesn't like, they'll troll the game and force their team to lose.
Right now, it's happening in probably 1/4 of my games. This is not acceptable.
Why isn't this behavior zero tolerance? These players need to be banned from ranked on the first offense, not the dozens it takes before they receive any sort of punishment (if any). The repercussions for this behavior clearly aren't harsh enough to discourage it.
See this game as an example; this player didn't make his intent to pick Ekko clear by picking him before bans started. Someone on our team banned Ekko. The player who wanted Ekko got angry, and the player who banned him played it off as 'lol oops wasn't paying attention, sorry,' instead of 'uh, yeah, you didn't let us know you wanted Ekko,' because they knew the player would be more likely to troll if they called it out.
He let us know that he was going to troll, called us all 'dumb fucking %%%%s,' and locked in Bard top. When the game started, he told us 'im not going to get banned, im just playing an off meta pick,' as he ran down middle lane and into the enemy turret. Afterwards, he went to top lane and just spent the remaining 20 minutes pushing down it, refusing to help the team and ignoring our jungle when he tried to gank.

There are so many things wrong with this. It needs to be fixed before the next season begins, if not immediately. This should be an extremely rare occurrence, especially at the top 1% of players, not something you see in 1/4 games.
Stop giving these players more chances. The first time they say they're going to troll in a ranked game, ban them from ranked. There's no reason for this behavior to have been allowed to remain as prevalent as it is for this long.
