i honestly hate people that mute all every single game before their team even gets to say anything your jungler has a harder time ganking your lane because you didnt even know that they said or pinged anything and if you are the jungler your lanes are gonna hate you because you only gank when you want to gank instead of when lanes need it. if you mute all at the start of every game you are an actual child that makes the game worse for the rest of your team that is actually trying to communicate

I used to think the same too... Until I got the chat restriction.

I have too strong a desire to win yet it's not worth it to communicate and risk suspensions because I tend to become too passionate.

It simply is not worth it anymore.

atleast give them a god damn chance until they say anything so you arent fucking over your team because you decided that they were all instantly toxic and if you do run into somebody thats toxic just mute that one person after they say anything

Problem is controlling myself in the heat of the moment =) ... I don't trust myself.

It's just not worth chatting to others in game given the risks of suspensions, bans etc.

I just apologize and tell everyone I'm gonna mute all from now on.

Riot literally supports doing this to avoid toxic players.

It's putting a bandaid over a festering gun wound. You can't see the toxic stuff, so it's fine.

If you make the mistake of retaliating to a toxic person who is attacking you you get banned.

yeah. recieved a chat restriction first time since playing from beta 8yrs ago.

i've decided i'm not gonna speak to anyone anymore ever again in game.

This is where I am as well. They can't put the hours in to fix the toxicity so they victim blame and say that you need to show restraint and composure after being called a "trash retard" for 30 minutes .

Instead I'll mute all like you and the game strategies will get worse.

Riot should just disable chat completely. It would remove any issues. Pings are just fine. If you can't tell how the game is going without chat you probably shouldn't be playing ranked anyway.
