League of Groupthink: "He said n-"
There's a lot of insane sects of Christianity. One particular one has a lineage of pastors who handle poisonous snakes as proof that the power of God will protect them from Satan (for those who don't know, some Christian sects see snakes as the animal of Satan because in the Bible, the snake is what tempted Eve to eat the Forbidden Fruit, even though in some versions it's a dragon and God took away his limbs as punishment). This church has burned through pastors as each one, not unlike the repetition of the Trisolian royal succession, died from snake venom when their snake handling shenanigans suddenly backfire.
And yet they keep doing this shit.
I've seen a few threads in response to someone getting punished for hate speech because they quoted someone else who initially dropped the racial slur in a game in an attempt to get a 9-man report, and because these people seem to be cosmic-level imbeciles, CONTINUE to use the fucking word and then get incensed when they get punished instead of/alongside the original suspect.
This seems like the most common fucking sense thing in the universe, but that's an extreme rarity in the community these days. If someone starts dropping slurs in the chat, DON'T FUCKING REPEAT THEM! Don't try to get the entire team to report them; mob reporting doesn't work, and has never worked. You only need one, and Riot uses an automated system to facestomp people who use words that no one of decency would use in common parlance. I've seen more than a few players in recent weeks get punished for doing this shit in the chat, by my own reporting.
