What's with the word "Bud"

Has anyone else noticed that it is a common trend for salty and raging players to hid behind the word "Bud"? It's like they use it to try and throw off the tribunal for the toxic words. It's not a huge deal, but i keep seeing things like "You were bad, bud," "delete the game, bud," "I hope your parents die in a fire... bud."

Surely these players aren't ignorant enough to think that putting "bud" at the end of all of their toxic messages is going to save them... surely... surely not...

It's become the new word for these kids to use to try and demoralize people, but it doesn't really work. Everyone over the age of 13 just appreciates being called bud. Telling me how bad I am, followed by bud just makes me think you were okay with how bad i was... but that's just me.

People who use the word condescendingly would do so to imply adolescence and therefore undermine and discredit your opinions. It is a way of talking down to someone by addressing them like they are a child and not an adult.

Best not to jump to conclusions tho.

I think Wolverine was the first to use any iteration of this word to insult or antagonize others, except he would say "Bub"

Wolverine using "Bub" started in the comics a couple decades before the movies and Hugh Jackman taking the role.
