Why are supports allowed to grief?

Just had another game with a "support" who spent the entire laning phase attacking as many minions as possible, usually not actually getting the cs, but making sure I couldnt get it either

This isn't even the first time this has happened, and I've yet to actually see any of these "support" players get punished for it

So, why is it supports get a free ticket to grief these days?

Apparently I am wrong, there are no rules about doing anything in any lanes at all apparently

So guess Ill just play w/e I want regardless of where the que places me, according to the forums anyway

You can keep calling it griefing. But its not griefing. Anyone is allowed to CS. Thing is, pro players started using tactic where only ADC farms so most solo queue players copy it. BUT THATS NOT RULE. If support wants, he can take all CS on lane. They get "free ticket" as you called it, because they arent breaking any rule.

Can you prove that they were intentionally attempting to make sure nobody got the CS? If you can't prove that, they won't be punished. There's no rule that supports can't CS, nor that they can't hit CS.

It's possible what you described is "greifing" sounds likes its more like they are not playing the way you think they should.

If they are international doing it to lose the game then its reportable ....unfortunately that is one of the situation you cant tell till the of the game based on their entire performance in the match

if you want a more structured game i suggest sticking with pre made with people you trust to play in a manor closer to your own play style.

Supports low-key carry their team :'). Though, as someone who mains Support I will say that the chance of finding a chill and DECENT non-flame ADC is rare. I myself prefer to damage minions as a way for my ADC to kill them more quickly but I don't ever take CS from them. But u rite all supports aren't the same clearly, soz you get to deal with that lmao.

Are they playing bad, trying to cs, or actively trying to lose the game and piss you off? Only one of those is actually punishable.

I am a support main and hell there are times I take over the lane because my adc is not up to par. Sure some of them get pissed at me but in the end when we win, does it matter? Not really, play to win and you wont get punished, play to troll or lose and you will be punished.
