Regardless of thier impact on punishment. Reform cards should show the ENTIRE chat log, just so people on the boards can see exactly what we were dealing with when we got reported. I would venture to guess "the community "would be singing a different tune regarding context if they actually saw the full logs, back during the tribunal days, people would vote pardon if a player told someone who was spammimg racial slurs or kys to "fuck off" and i think its just easier to for riot to "make an example" of a player if their logs look one sided now that they're using an automated system

The simple fallacy of this is that in the context of league other people's actions don't dictate yours.

Regardless of what the other person may have done or not you are responsible for your actions.

This is not RL where a mute button doesn't exist.

While the mute button doesn't excuse their behavior it also shows that response to that behavior is 100% unneeded.

We've all had experiences like those that got others chat restrictions or bans. What all chat would show the boards is where we, individually, would have muted them or responded better. That might be good for helping the punished realize when they're about to cross the line, but I don't think it would result in fewer people agreeing with the punishment.

Also, the provokers wouldn't get punished any more quickly, since that still needs to go through Riot, not through the Boards.

Considering I am disabled I think I know a bit about being bullied.

A person's inability to control themselves does not excuse behavior.

Does that make them bad people that should be forced out of the game? No.

If they are incapable of following the set guidelines of a given community the only options the community have are

change the guidelines (which won't happen as a vast majority don't want assholes to play)
Remove the person from the community.

If for no other reason the logs should be shown so that the people provoking can be punished more quickly

This would not affect how quickly anyone is punished in the era of IFS.

I would agree with you if you had to cross a higher degree of toxicity for it to be considered punishable, however. Since riot will ban you for INCREDIBLY minor negativity, and offers very few tools for players who struggle with chat issues to deal with being trolled or provoked. "We can mute. But that's it" Muting doesnt stop people from harassing you in pregame lobby, nor does it stop them from trolling via gameplay

And yes being able to copy paste the other players logs Will help provokers be punished faster. Because even with censored names. Submitting a ticket saying you were being provoked allows riot to manually verify that the logs arent edited, and then manually dish out punishments in fewer games then the IFS would need to flag them

Edit: Even quickly looked up an example of a state law regarding harassment to make sure it's true for the US as well.

The community has gotten exponentially WORSE as the years progress, and people can get banned just by being triggered by trolls.

Because THOSE are the kind of people who WON'T come back.

Actually they got punished even more. People in tribunal used to vote guilty pretty much all the time. Out of the hundreds of cases I read through I can think of maybe one or two where the person didn't receive a punishment.
