Are you talking ranked or normals? I never quit in ranked unless my team really wants to. But i dont play much ranked anyway.
Normals is a whole other deal. I play a lot of sup and i am low elo, means i get a lot of ADC who dont even understand the concept of lasthitting, or when and how to push. Someone who mains ADC should have understood how he gets stronger, where the gold comes from and when he overpushes. Lets say early went well for some reason, but my ADC just cant farm, ignores my dangerpings, overpushes to second tower alone while i roam mid, gets killed and flames me .... i am out. I have already quit inside at that point and all i want is to get out of that situation as soon as possible and maybe have better luck next game.
Yes, comebacks are always possible on that elo. Doesnt mean those 40 minutes where a good time.
Now ask yourself: Does this sound like fun? Would you try to quit and get out ASAP too?
Do i quit too early, in games that are still winnable? Sure. Bcs those games are JUST NO FUN! All i want at that point is to end the torture quickly and move on. Those are my experiences and thoughts when i throw early surrender votes. It is really not about winning or losing at that point, all i want is to get out of that situation to end the suffering.
I blame riot, new player should start at 0 elo and not at 1200. New player shouldnt get wrecked by vets playing 5 years or longer. The infos ingame are abysmal bad too. They dont even give basic infos about abilities or the damage type inside the client and damage type is not logical or self explaining at all.
I had a new mid a few days ago who didnt understand that Kata is AP. She throws daggers, thats not magic damage, so he builds armor ... sounds logical, right? I cant even blame that guy, but i really dont want to play with him either.
