The most toxic game community. I've expalined this before, the masses don't understand still.

So why is the game so toxic? Across he board with sample size of millions of players, you have to conclude its rooted in human nature.

Its not complicated--people feel anger or sadness when things are beyond their control. So much of the game is not in a players control. This is always going to produced emotions. And some people aren't good at controlling their emotions, and some choose not to. These are personality issues, and if you think that bans are going to correct behavoior rooted in their years of experiences that developed them into the kind of person they are now, you have no grasp of human nature, how complex people are, or really, reality in general.

Riot created a game, that at its core, will bring out the worst in people due to the nature of the game. That is, individual rank and status based largely on a lot that is out of the player's control. And this isn't some small thing. A good player who wins some and losses some, could get unlucky with teammates a few matches in a row and cause him to play bad being frustrate for run out of patience, and lose more after that.

Riot doesn't really care about fixing the issue. If they did, they would come down hard on people who purposely troll and instigate to try to get a reaction out of people. And they would do something that would lessen the blow of a loss so that players feel less bad when losing due to circumstances out of their control.

You aren't going to change human nature and you certainly won't correct with bans or chat restrictions. The idea that you think you can impart a real change in a person by such means is beyond laughable

How is different from, say basketball or Monopoly? Lots of games have a random element or a team component. What makes MOBAs worse in general? What makes League worse than other MOBAs?

Games are 40 minutes long. Just about every game where you are stuck with people that long is going to be toxic.

Mind you, there are always people who think talking like Twitch or the YouTube comment section is okay and funny

Some people say that killing people is part of our nature, so we shouldn't try to prevent it. We however have decided that we do not want killings and prohibited them.

We prohibit things because they go against who we want to be not because they go against who we are. We don't want killing to be a generally allowed thing because we don't want to get killed. We don't want flaming to be generally allowed because people don't want to get flamed.

If it is truly against human nature to not flame every person on this board should have been banned. Restraint is what stops us, restraint is also part of human nature. It is what we learn so we can live together. If 90/99 percent can restrain themselves when they are mad, why should the ones that can't even show common decency be kept in?

Flamers generally annoy people and distract people from playing the game. It is a technique that is not used to win games or even used to have fun, it is just misbehavior. While I am against permanent bans myself(I don't think they help) I do think that people should be punished if they misbehave in game. In soccer you get punished for kicking somebody down, In basketball you get punished for knocking your opponent out and in league you get punished for flaming.

Also taking a sample size from the boards is not representative of league of legends it is like saying the earths population is mostly cabbage by taking the cabbage garden as a sample for the whole world(what I am saying is that the boards like player behavior have a large amount of players banned for toxicity).

Yes. MOAR PLZ. I've been shit talking in video games for 15 years. That shit doesn't change over night.

I've explained this to but people will downvote and be more toxic on the boards which riot deems okay. Also when you look at that summoner rift makes people toxic due to game length and feeders. I combine doing bad and intent feeding the same because both fed so does it really matter

TL;DR people suck, but the people in league suck much, much, much more than the average person.
