The last 3 pick is FORCING me to play the champion they want

By abusing this "flawless" pick intent system that allows your teammate to ban your pick intent.

Pick intent Teemo? "Play a tank" bans Teemo Pick intent Blitzcrank? "I want Janna or alistar" bans Blitzcrank

This occur most frequently ito top/jg(forcing them to play tanka) and support(forxing them to play x or y champion). It's getting really out of hand at this point because people are trolling their own teammates as if they are entitled to do so.

if they do that then I go uncommon pick or a champion I'm not that familiar/want to learn. If they don't want me on a comfort pick then I might as well have fun out of it

I just wait until after ban phase to show my pick intent.

My champion pool is large enough to survive the ban phase easily, but it is still rather annoying.

Banning pick intent is a obnoxious thing to do, but there are plenty of ways to get around it. For example, don't show your pick intent until after the ban phase. Or just don't show it entirely. Or consider showing a similar pick to the one you actually want to play (ex. showing Sejuani when you want to play Zac)

They can't force you to do anything. And the fact of the matter is, they are completely entitled to ban the champion you want to play. Riot must have been aware that such a thing might happen. It was probably the second thing that came up when they were designing the system, and they decided it was an acceptable negative. If they thought the problem was not acceptable, the system would not exist the way it does.

just dont bother with a pick intent.

or, if you want to show them, pick similar champions.

you want something like support blitz, show thresh or nautilus

you want something like midlane teemo....i dont know what ud show, but not teemo.

As a Support, I have a decent enough champ pool to ignore what people WANT me to play and pick what is needed for the team instead. If your champion pool isn't diverse enough, do as others have said and don't show your actual intended champion. Alternatively you could try to expand your pool of champs you can play proficiently. This takes a bit of time but is much more rewarding in the long run.

That is a reportable offense so I'd definently report someone for doing that.

If someone bans my pick intent I pick a champ I'm not good at but want to get better at. I'll also usually say something like "thanks for banning the champ I wanted to play. I guess this is a good game to learn how to play ________." I never troll or intentional feed but I definently want them to feel a little pain for being a dick.

Yea?Guess what I pick something EVEN WORSE.Worth the LP if u ask me.

while I do agree banning choices is mean, I also think people need to look at team comps before picking champs like teemo. If the team can manage a teemo sure, but if they are all going squishy single target damage maybe don't pick a champ that will make the problem worse. Way back I used to ban garens because statisticly he was more likely to do more damage to his own team than the enemy by KSing everything and providing no real use to the team. People got mad but many times they ended up picking champs that were honestly just as fun to play as garen while being infinitly more useful to the team. This was also bck when he had one of the highest pick rates top lane so I probably ended up banning enemies out of comfort zones as well.

If your last pick try coordinating with your team if you want FoTM champs otherwise the enemy will most likely steal you pick.

Fuck that.

If first two picks are Teemo and Shaco and I'm duo.. I'd ban them both.

Blame Riot for making them worthless.

Then don't hover your champion. I hardly hover my champion because of that, or too if I want to trade, I don't want them to be able to counter pick it if they see it hovered before I pick their champ for them.

That's just a dick move.

banning blitzcrank depending on your (supports) pick order, may be a wise decision. Unfortunately we are forced to ban champions like malzahar, swain, zed (I dont but others need to), and maybe ryze now. Before the mage update it was important to ban blitzcrank because if you dont take ezreal or sivir, he really does zone the bot lane out of context.

but yes in overall, it is a dick move to ban your choice.

don't know about your ELO, but I rarely see people banning other's intents at bronze1.

maybe more at plat when everyone wants to play META
