@Riot Developers - Please Take a Stance With AFKERS & Remove Them From Ranked

I can deal with someone harassing me because I am bad at the game. I can deal with someone having a bad game. I can deal with a new player playing something they are unfamiliar with and not being that good. Here are just two examples of what almost everyone has to deal with on a day to day basis when they play ranked.

This player decided it would be a great idea to play another game, that Dragon Ball Z game that is played on mobile, and do that the first 5 minuets of the game. Our Jungler had to cover top lane so this one player can play another game, knowing he qued into a ranked match. He then decides to come back after 5 minuets and then feed the entire game, flame the rest of his team, and make it almost impossible to enjoy or carry the ranked game.

Remember . . . . report these players really makes sure they don't do this again to other people . . . . when in reality they continue to do this multiple times to players and get away with it.

This player dcs in the game 3 times, freezes in lane two times and gives his lane two kills, and loses his turret before 10 minuets. His lane is allowed to roam all around the map and snowball other lanes . . . all because this one player decide to que into a ranked match . . . . with internet problems instead of leaving the game and fixing his problems. He comes back and continues to feed and gives his lane more kills and other lanes kills.

You want players to deal with this back, to back, to back, and in almost every ranked game because you want these players with bad internet and poor choices to have a pleasurable ranked game experience. What you are doing in reality is allowing these players to get one report for one game and not get punished for it, because you think your punishment system is working correctly and your algorithms for placing these players with others, is spot on. Bring back the Tribunal and develop a better punishment system. These players are wasting 15 to 30 minuets of my time by going afk, playing other games, and purposely throwing games because they want to get a rise out of other players. Remove their ability to play ranked games if they cannot be bothered to take it serious and fix their problems with the game.

This game has been out long enough to have at least something that punishes repeat and multiple repeat offenders that go afk, int, and make ranked games unbearable. They shouldn't be allowed to play ranked then. Do it in normals who cares. It seems like you Developers don't care about game satisfaction.

The first guy is obviously an ass. The second guy, I dunno. It's entirely possible to have a game crap out on you with no warning, and doesn't mean negligence on the player's part. I was duo bot lane in ranked the other day with a friend, and we got a great lead in the first ~8 minutes of the game, but then his computer utterly broke down on him and took him a solid ~6 minutes to return. By the time he did, the enemy ADC that we had totally shut down in the early game had farmed up and gained an advantage, and actually went on to carry his team against us. My friend is an IT professional, so if that sort of shit could happen to him, it can happen to anybody.

I sympathize with Riot in how to handle these situations. With the exception of folks like the first guy you mention, who I assume volunteered the information about his priorities to you in chat, it can be difficult to diagnose why an individual goes AFK. It makes sense in cracking down hard on somebody who leaves a ranked match from the viewpoint of his teammates being left in the dust, but if his router suddenly died or something, major action against his account would be excessive.

Wont be fixed. Riot is too busy trying to enforce words instead of actual player actions.
