Now that tyler1 is unbanned, what is Riots stance on "banther" as tyler puts it?

Banter is basically just being cocky to the enemy team, doing things like spamming "?" after you killed someone or saying "you lagging there buddy?" when someone dies. just overall being cocky as hell.

is this considered toxic? does the community view it as toxic? personally i think banther should be allowed. in ANY sports you play you are going to get that. there is no sport that consists of rainbows and butterflys between players.

I feel like it's okay to a certain extent, as long as you're not constantly harassing someone or constantly calling them bad or whatnot. Like, yeah there's always going to be trash talking but sometimes it's too much you know? Of course, where that line is is different for everyone I'd imagine but I think as long as you're not actively insulting their person or using zero tolerance words then sure a bit is fine.

It's "banter".

It's okay in moderation, which from what I've seen of Tyler's stream is something he's on the razor's edge of. You won't get banned for "gotcha" or "?" after a good play, but he does it a LOT.

If/when he cracks and starts flaming his teammates or running it down mid, that sort of thing will also contribute to tipping the scales towards punishment.

Banter is fine as long as you don't do it every 10 seconds.

I personally don't think "Competitive banter" is bannable or punishable...you're playing a highly competitive game, the banter is what should come with it. Now if you go on saying "kys" or "%%%" etc then thats bannable. but "nice try noob" or "?" "not even close" is just competitive banter in my opinion..

Riot's stated purpose for all chat is competitive banter. So if he and the enemy team both all chat a "gotcha" or "?" after each kill, then that would seem to fall into the category of both parties engaged in mutual competitive banter
