I got people who told me to 'kill myself' or they 'hope my mother dies irl' and I reported, wrote in the report box AND submitted a ticket.

They are still playing just fine.

I try to curb my criticism of Riot but their ban system is a joke 100%

Submit a ticket and request a manual review or ask a Rioter on Twitter. Do not rely on the report system to punish inters or afkers in your games. Report system only works on people who "type".

Edit: But in your case in that one game you played. It'll add up when they keep typing. They possibly didn't type enough for the system to catch them.

The IFS works. Unless you consider flaws to mean something doesn't work. I mean, my toothbrush works, but an electric one works even better.

I'm already aware of this. It doesn't always work and sometimes even tickets don't help because they won't really do anything about it with actual 'kys' or racist slur screenshots. But I don't bother pointing it out anymore! Its none of my business anyways whether it works or doesn't.
