Your hatred for me NEEDS to stop

I don't know where it came from, when it began or why the hell it's spiraled this far out of control, but it really, seriously, FUCKING NEEDS to come to an end. I don't know what it is about me, but my very presence creates a streak of violent, vitriolic, screaming hatred across both teams. I don't need to say or do anything, and it's not limited to my role, champion or performance. Enemies will focus me exclusively with absolutely everything they have regardless of how productive that could actually be; it's because of this that I end up making one of the best tanks in League. If I'm the ADC, they'll focus me exclusively. If I'm top, exclusive focus. Mid and jungle, same story. It's a pattern of madness that I've had multiple people bear witness to, and they're equally baffled by it.

At the same time, this hatred extends to my team, and they'll bash and berate me for everything regardless of if it's actually within my ability to control or not. If I'm top and bot fed because Jinx was being a 'tard? They'll blame me. If I accidentally "steal" a kill, no matter how impossible it would have been for anyone else to claim it or it was a consequence of the chaos of a 5v5 teamfight, my "allies" will fly off into a blood rage that runs the risk of banning them for the rest of the season. It doesn't matter if I'm support Janna, I should be able to just steal Baron and Dragon from the enemy and the fed Zed, no exceptions, and if not, I'll get reported by the entire team at the end of the match for being a career troll or something equally insane and manufactured.

Lately I've even run into premades who do what I'm going to call reverse-trolling. That is, they single out one person and set them up in ways to sabotage the team (pretend to engage the enemy and then back out, for example) and berate them the whole time, THEN report them afterwards. I rarely ever see this happen to others.

I don't know who you think I am or what you think I have done to warrant such toxic behavior, but you have gone miles well beyond the line of normal behavioral conduct for over a year and a half now. Fucking stop it.

I'm not really sure what this refers to at all. Report them, mute them. It's all you can do.

My point is the hatred spewed at me is far too consistent and beyond the pale to be a matter of some ass bag having a bad game. Something about my very existence is so rancid to others on an ineffable level that I become a target of some of the most incorrigible vitriol that you could possibly sling at a person for any reason, or no reason.

I think you're taking this game way too personally. League of Legends has one of the most notoriously toxic communities in the e-sports scene.

We have ALL had very negative experiences.

The only thing you can do is:

  1. Evaluate how you conduct **yourself **in game and in chat. You might becoming off as cocky, toxic, or immature.

  2. Memorize **/mute [insert player name]**chat command. Play the game and just coordinate the best you can with pings.

  3. Report the players accurately, don't let your anger lead you to false reporting, this can have serious consequences.

  4. Do not retaliate at all this is grounds enough for counter reporting. The only thing you have to say is " /all [Insert player name] Has been harassing me by [insert how] please report him/her. Don't get into a discussion, leave it at that. Whether or not the other players believe you is irrelevant, your report still matters.

Just remember, don't fall into the " I'm challenger" mindset. Once you realize that you're just an average guy/gal and the average is Bronze or Silver, you'll get better and have more fun with the game. The top 25% of players are in Gold, the top 2-1% are in Platinum and the top 1-0.5% are in Diamond. I'm only mentioning this because you seem to have the mindset of blaming other's. Even if they deserve it, you're a team and there is almost always something you could've done to prevent that event from happening. There are some niche cases were you're completely irrelevant to the outcome, but those are far and few between.

We all have bad days, we all make mistakes, we all get upset, and we all want to do our best. Just make sure you're doing your best and that your bad day doesn't affect other's.

Have a good one.

Your response sounds like a stock response with next to zero relevance to what I was even referring to. My point of writing this was pointing out a disturbing consistency in how I'm singled out across virtually every game. I don't even need to say anything and people will go from zero to permaban in seconds. That's what I'm pointing out, and disturbingly, no one seems to understand this, or any concept I bring to the table.

You are also sorely mistaken in thinking that I'm so petty that I subscribe to meta titles like rank. If anything, I'd prefer that ranked get thrown out the window entirely, or drowned in the bathtub. I stopped playing it well over a year ago after this streak of blood shooting out of the eyes hatred came roaring to life. My motive in game is more immaculate than most. I fight in an attempt to best my opponent in an honest fight, no more, no less. I despise "freelo", and anyone who is a slave to meta analysis I want to throw them in a ditch.

My point about this thread is my influence is not based on conduct like most other players out there, but rather presence. Something about my presence in the game causes people to fly off the handle, whereas anyone else needs to goad them with a string of racial slurs, beratement and profanity for the greater half of the game for the same effect. I don't need to do anything at all before the shit comes flying at me. Hell, more often than not, the fact that I practice near-perfect language even in game has been the source of horrendous vitriol.

The part that you're not reading is that this is on an extremely consistent basis for me. It's one thing if you run into someone who decides to have a bad day, but this toxicity shadows my every step throughout virtually every game now. There is no way in hell that the community has gotten this bad with zero response from Riot on the matter. Either I have the most perverted luck in the universe, or my very existence is an abomination to the human psyche itself.

I tried being nice, so I'll give it to you blunt then:

You're ego is the only thing you're bringing to the table. Literally nobody knows who the hell you are!

You're talking in fancy prose which just exemplifies the fact of your feeling of self importance.

Something about my presence in the game causes people to fly off the handle, whereas anyone else needs to goad them with a string of racial slurs, beratement and profanity for the greater half of the game for the same effect.

Do you want a pat on the back? A shoulder to cry on? You're not going to get it here. I read your tale of woe thoroughly and to be honest, it's old news that I have read and been talked to about several other times, it's a stale subject.

Understand that there are over one million players on just the North American server and the chances that even one hundred who know or even remember you is slim to none.

Do you honestly think that you have the fame of a professional League of Legends player? Do you think that anybody actually cares enough to change their entire demeanor at the sight of your name? If you even pause to think about this you've already proven my point.

Understand that you not the other players are to blame for this. You walk into a match, instantly assume that any amount of regular misfortune is directly connected to who you are, when in actuality the exact same thing is happening in another match to someone else and there is nothing related in it other than some people are dicks.

**You're literally the reason you're having a bad experience in this game. **

Your self-important and egocentric personality is perpetuating this grandiose delusion that you, out of over a million other's, are being targeted by the masses for some unknown reason.

  1. Life isn't about you, this game isn't about you.
  2. Stop making yourself to be the victim, the boards aren't some echo chamber of pity for you.
  3. The reason people get pissed at you is because you piss them off with your ridiculous delusions of abuse that you pin onto them.
  4. This game is a competitive game, regardless of how you look at it, there is a winner and a loser. If you don't like Ranked, fine, but you putting down those who care for it is only creating the toxicity you're complaining about from other's.
  5. Your martyrdom isn't appreciated nor is it even real, stop acting like you're "Immaculate".
