Getting permabanned in league.

I've been permabanned on three accounts now in about 3 years of playing and every time it's because I'm yelling at some one who is trolling and inting. This is usually in bronze or silver where some one is playing a non-meta build and ask dumb questions while feeding trying to bait toxic players. Well I get baited hard each time. I think riot should move from permaban to permamute and see how behavior changes. I think if I was restricted to not being able to type I would have a much better time in the game and they wouldn't ban my accounts which I've spent some times 100's of dollars on.

Or, you can become a decent human being and realize that sometimes people have bad games and some people aren't that good and flaming them does nothing.

I wish it was that, but it's like lee sin putting wards by nexus at 10 minutes and stuff. It's not just a bad player.

To a degree, I can understand that, but enough of those players to get permabanned, yeah no, no.

But why do I get punished for telling them to find a giant knife and stab themselves in the stomach? How is that even remotely as bad as what they're doing. I just wish riot would look at the circumstances of a frustrated player.

Ah yes, advocating one's suicide because they aren't playing well in a video game. Quite a realistic response, can't see why you have been banned.

To a certain degree, I agree with you, to a certain degree, yes, you do get trolls that enjoy tarnishing your experience, HOWEVER, you do not get them often enough to even be slightly justified to get a permaban, much less a warning. People have bad games, that just happens, you need to realize that. HELL, I assume that your allies think the exact same thing about you being a troll when you go 2/15 on Yasou.

Furthermore, let me lay out the situation. At 5 minutes, our top-lane lee sin goes into their base and continuously tries to put the "deepest ward possible for vision" as he said. Does this the rest of the game.

Tell me that's a player having a bad game, go ahead.

Not saying that isn't trolling, not saying you don't get trolls, I'm saying that you don't get enough trolls to even get a warning. What you get are players playing poorly, tilting, fucking up, then you immediately leaping on them making them want to tilt you even harder.

Not even the case. Infact, most the times I'm telling them to calm down and just farm on tower and we'll win. Doesn't help - they tilt and feed anyways. Game is cancer man, and riot wants people to rage. It's literally designed to make people rage. 40 min time investment to lose to some one else playing badly even after you spent x amount of games finally getting good enough to carry - yeah I'm done with league.

What is your goal?

You wanna make us believe that you have some REAL trolls from time to time. First of all i call that bullshit. I played 1.3 k games in Season 7 and i had exactly 2 trolls. These were running it down mid from the beginning withouth any interaction before. 1.3 k games makes 13.000 players, 2 out of these 13.000 were legit trolls. So i highly doubt the fact you get trolls way more often then usual.

Secondly think about this:

If there is a REAL troll which intends to trigger you, don't you get it in your little head that you give him exactly what he wants when you flame him? Are you that much into your anger that your brain stops working?

When Riot had infinite scaling chat restrictions it resulted in an increase of gameplay toxicity; aka trolling and inting.

As far as why you get punished for telling someone to "find a knife and stab themselves in the stomach." You are telling someone to commit suicide over a game. Guess whose mental state I am more concerned about between a potential troll and someone telling another human to commit suicide over a game.

You should stop giving these trolls what they want. You're contributing to the terrible perception of this community by feeding them. Next time, just ignore them, or give them encouraging words to really get under their skin. It really just makes them boil when they realize they're not dealing with your everyday sensitive sucker.

Riot used to do permamutes, but it only resulted in players trolling more to spite their teammates, instead of simply insulting people. I think players in general hate trolling and griefing more than toxicity, so riot decided to get rid of the infinitely stacking mutes on accounts.

They did that before. The ones that have racked 1000s+ games of chat restriction ended up trolling and inting as a way to vent.

I think it would be different if they gave you an option to self-mute, as those are the ones that have the control to do that. Which should in theory be better than forcing people to be in perma-chat restriction.

That said, a self-mute feature has such low returns, that spending the time to program it is not really worth it.
