was just wondering since i just received an "Offensive Language" in a game where i said not a word in all chat, and was on a 5 man premade team so ehh.. prolly not a teammate who reported :b Does Riot actually punish people who hand out fake reports when they're pissed about losing? Cause it's a bad feeling to get reported, even if you know nothing will happen.

There's only been one known case of false reports leading to a suspension by the system. In that case, the system was confused because the player was essentially harassing themselves. Either way, it's good to avoid that kind of language in game, even if it's not directed at anyone. But to answer your question, false reports do not lead to a ban or other kind of punishment.

Getting report doesn't mean ban; Getting sued doesn't mean guilty.

If they falsely report you, Their report will have less weighted in the future.

False reports cannot lead to a punishment of any kind.

Yes, the system is automated. If you disagree, you can create a ticket and Riot can look into it and reverse the punishment after it has already been issued.
