First time, I've actually been chat restricted, and only two games have been showed to me as toxic. In addition, those games had offenders from my team as well. For example, I got blamed repeatedly for my teammates' mistakes just because I picked something that I thought worked for me.
At least lower my chat restriction to 5 games.
The punishment tiers are only a 10 and 25 game chat restriction, 14 day account ban, and permanent ban. Sorry, but you can't be given a lower punishment, and they won't remove/reduce them unless it was an error anyway.
If other players are flaming you, don't listen to it and don't respond in kind, just mute them. If you start doing the same thing all you did was make it worse and ensured it continued to be a problem for yourself and the other players. Who started it or who was worse is irrelevant, as each player is responsible for their own actions.
I recommend simply muting toxic players as soon as they start being a problem so that you can forget it and focus on the game as soon as possible.
