Just a reminder that "autistic, down syndrome, retard" will all still only run you up the punishment ladder normally. no instant 14 day or perma.

Smh.

I cant wait till people are demanding the words fat or lazy be added to the permaban list as well after all we must protect the feefees.

What a sad state this generation is causing.

Luckily time has shown if a generation goes bonkers about a subject the next generation will be the complete opposite.

Even if this may or may not be true, you'll still go up the ladder anyway lol. It's not even worth it.

Why even try it?

I can't wait for disability related slurs to be treated as racial slurs. Neither can be changed and neither was chosen but one is more ok than another?

I've seen some cases where a punishment looks like it was escalated for disability related hate speech - I.e 14 day ban out of the blue and only one log provided.

But I agree that those words really need to stop being said in League.

Tough call to make. Obviously there are clearly reasons to refer to autism, downs syndrome, and retardation in non-hateful ways, unlike slurs. Equally as obviously, those reasons shouldn't apply to a game of League.

To play devil's advocate: One might suggest that the use of "autistic" as an insult isn't invoking the persecution or marginalization of a minority group the same way calling somebody the n-word is. The relative weights of all these words is very hard to calculate, though. How persecuted are people who live with autism, or other mental disorders? Mental health is super tricky to deal with.
