Sure, you get some 'get gancer, 'kys' and 'noob' but overall, people are kinda nice here. At least in foruns, unlike other games. cough overwatch cough Anyway, I hope we can still improve and be better ^^

what world are you from? I cant go one day without someone being toxic or trolling

Yeah, that's been my experience as well. There are two things I think may lead to this:

#1 -- Toxicity (or anger about toxicity) leads to more toxicity. When player's emotions are running high it's easier to snap, or to read toxicity into things not meant as such. Players who tend to tilt or counterflame seem to think League is a much worse community than players who are friendly and supportive in all situations -- or so my personal experience talking to players has indicated.

#2 -- The human brain remembers negative experiences more vividly than positive ones. One or two negative experiences can offset a large number of positive experiences -- it's simply an evolutionary trait of the human brain, but it definitely helps make League seem like a worse community.

I had to check the time stamp on this post. Maybe in Season 1 I would agree with you, but I can't play more than 2 games without someone being toxic, trolling or going afk. It doesn't matter what Elo you play in, it doesn't matter what game mode it is, the community is exponentially worse than it was when I started playing. I used to add people after games all the time, I still have a few online friends from when I first started playing (although many of them have quit this game for various reasons, some of which were community related). I don't ever add people anymore, this community is horrendous and getting worse.

It has the reputation around the net for the worst community and that reputation is well earned. Technically speaking, the Heroes Of New Earth community was worse back in 2012---I don't even know if that game exists anymore, but per capita, by volume or in any sample size you chose and everything in between, this community is a hot plate of garbage.

I am far more shocked when I meet nice people in game now... it's actually almost worth post about on the forums it happens so rarely.

People on the forums are pretty bad too...

League's community isn't as bad as people put it out to be. Me and my friends got honor level 3 yesterday. You just gotta remember to keep positive.

League has probably one of the worst communities in video-games that I have ever seen, Riot is probably one of the worst companies that I've had the mispleasure of dealing with, both in reguards to said community and their support staff.

The ridiculous oversensitivity, not only the "toxicity", is part of what makes it so bad.

Cryo007/31/2017, 6:07:59 PM2 votes

Yeah, I rarely get toxic players in my games. It may have to do with the fact that I just play normals and ARAM. The most toxicity I get is a champion going for a stupid initiation or dive and the spam pings ? for his team not following up.

DOTA 2 on the other hand.........

Lol, except that you have a totalitarian ruler, in the form of Riot, trying to control things that they literally cannot control.

Which is why the trolls are just going to continue to get worse and worse, as has been proven over the years.

Blizzard deserves their community

You clearly haven't met a Platinum player.

If 7% represents the Platinum player base, and 5% represents the toxic player base, 5.6% of the player base is Toxic and Platinum.

I legitimately have to ask what region or world you play league in? The game and the community is so incredibly gross that meeting a NICE player is actually a refreshing experience. As far as MMO's it's by far the worst when it comes to it's community. It has it's reputation for a reason.

Personally I've only ever seen the forums to be incredibly toxic and not fun. It's painful to watch because most discussions maybe go 1 or 2 replies b4 divulging into rubbish.

I think the biggest issue is the boards absolute failure to understand that some people just have opinions.

The unfortunate downside is that there is really nowhere else to find any decent information or occasionally see some funny or interesting posts. (Don't even recommend me the cesspool that is reddit).

Damn guys, a little bit of some positivity doesn't hurt. Some posts are actually making me sad xD

Everybody in platinum thinks that inting and trolling is a good idea

Deep Purple Myst7/31/2017, 7:13:39 AM1 votes

Yeah easy to say but when you're trying to be nice to everyone but then your teamates are braindead retarded that don't understand what focusing is or how to follow up a tank engaging its really fucking hard to go "hey good job hun keep it up!" i'l be supportive and be the first one to tell you good job if you do well but if your clearly not able to comprehend the game then get off my ranked
