Just Sick Of This Game
Didn't play for a while, almost a whole week, just to come back to a bunch of literal assholes in my matches. My team dies 40 times total one game, I have 4 deaths, but magically it's my fault we are losing... I'm getting gang banged in the chat by 3 of my teammates verbally about how everything is my fault, I'm trash, I'm so bad, lalalala, when there is literally nothing I can do. Do you think they reported me? Yea they probably did. What did I say? Not much, I didn't even retaliate at them. I'm literally so fucking sick of this game... I don't have much left to even say to people.
There's nothing wrong with this game, do you know what's wrong with this game? Everyone on these boards... every person that's playing, everyone. People are the issue I have with this game. The fact that you can report people is the problem I have with this game. The fact that there is a chat, is the problem I have with this game.
PvP games aren't meant to sit around and socialize with people, that's what casual games are for. Pings were implemented in the game, there's absolutely zero reason to even have a chat anymore, but for some reason it still exists. Games are supposed to be fun, why does something that's meant to be fun have an option to report other people? Only one reason, because there's a chat.
It's bad enough that there's a massive skill deficit among different players in this game which adds a lot of stress factor... why is there no option to disable the only means of aggression and venting in the game? Seriously, this company is the most fucked up in the head company that I've ever seen. It's like gluing someone's eyes open so they have to watch everything in front of them, they give you a blind fold but the catch is that you can't put it on until after you've already seen the murder. WHAT IS THE POINT?
I've never once in 5 years ever seen anything good come out of the chat box.. It's like when a contagious disease is spreading, one person begins raging and spreads his tilt to everyone else or no one is chatting at all. Rarely do I EVER see people casually chatting... do you know why? Because it's HARD to play this game and chat at the same time. EXTREMELY HARD. The only players that feel the inclination to chat are the people who are pissed off... the ones who don't care anymore about the game, so they stop and start using their only means available to tell the world about it. The people who actually care, AREN'T TYPING. They aren't typing because THEY DON'T HAVE TIME TO TYPE, THEY'RE TRYING TO PLAY. You can't type and play at the same time, so once more, why does this chat box even exist?
How can Riot reasonably punish people when it's their own fault the disease spreads?
If you don't want people to rage and be be negative, don't give them the means to do it.. it's pretty damn simple. Riot loves giving statistics, here's a good one... "100% of players are positive and win more games when there's no chat for them to tilt themselves and their teammates with" or how about "100% of players never receive a chat restriction when they don't have a chat box". Rocket science, damn it's so hard to figure that one out.
A chat box really is a sorry excuse for "working with your team". Players who are working successfully with their teammates AREN'T USING THE CHAT BOX. They're focused, and using the pings that were implemented into the game. They don't care what people are saying in the chat because they're looking at the enemy team and what's on their mini map instead. People who are positive and trying their best to win, aren't typing things to their teammates, because they're trying to use their spells and time efficiently to gain the most gold and advantages.
There's absolutely zero way to justify having a chat in this game anymore. Perhaps back in the day, before there were things like Pings, but that was a long time ago. If anything there should 100% without a doubt, be a way to at least disable the chat completely while in game. I'm a pretty hard person to tilt, but once I start getting agitated, it's a full roll down hill from there. People like me don't go on tilt because of their team or themselves making mistakes, I tilt because I see a ton of bullshit in the chat and by the time I mute those assholes, it's already too late.
Anyways, back to playing ArcheAge for another week, peace out League peoples. Be back to get upset at this game again soon.
