What happened to permaban remove experiment that was on NA?
We haven't had a word of this for a while so was experiment successful or is it still on going? @Riot @The Djinn

Speaking as someone that went through this, still in game- not rebanned and almost Honor 1.
Not always a perfect person, sometimes I still flame a little, but overall I improved my attitude a lot in game.
would be nice for people part of the experiment to come out and share their experience...
I see I was tagged here. Let me begin by saying I'm not an official Riot employee, but rather a volunteer moderator. That said, I do actually have the best answer hear that you're likely to get.
Riot has told us that they will not necessarily give us a follow up on that experiment, so we should assume it is either ongoing or has ended, and probably that Riot is analyzing the results of that experiment. I would not hold your breath for an update, because there has been no timeline given and no promise of an update given.
I know that's frustrating to hear, but this is the sort of thing that I think Riot needs to approach carefully, as otherwise there may be a lot of false expectations flying around.
some people managed to not get re-banned others wasted their chance
I really wish this event doesn't die out on NA. People on other servers deserve their chance to get rid of this infuriating, inappropriate and unfair punishment.
What’s the permaban experiment? Are they considering unlocking permabanned players worldwide? Or are they just trying a new reform?
(Personally I think permabanning is screwed up and would love to see it gone and substituted for chat/ping ban so people don’t lose friends/money~~)
I'm still unbanned :l not honor 1 yet but I'm not locked honor
Well I guess either that a) most permad' people either found a way around it with a new account and barely could care less if that old account was free again or b) they have dropped the game ages ago and now don't really want to return to the messy state it is in right now, especially with Riot not exactly being the most welcoming with the scandals recently.
My guess is that barely anyone signed up - and now announcing the results would be a total embarassment. Imagine giving out free stuff but no one comes because they don't care. That's just awkward.
Ok so.. I was banned over a year ago. Every game I play now on my alt account has a troll or rager in it now. My question is this.. once you get banned do you get put with a pool of toxic people also? For instance , my friend plays by himself gets good games no trolls. He was never banned. Then he plays with me and we have the crazy lunatics in our game. So is my IP or whatever tagged and I’ll never have a decent game again? It’s like jail with no release.
