General Question: When does "having a bad game" turn into intentional feeding

I had a player on my team. He goes 0-5 so he's 0-5-0 adc. He justt kept running in their team. He says he's having a bad games. So I didn't harass him at first but after a while began to give him advice a a ADC main. He ignores the advice completely and continues to just run into the other team. Still doing dmg, but he legitimately would not take any advice, would not change anything about his play. He now 0-10-0. When does "having a bad game" turn into a reportable offence like intentionally feeding. Theres a grey area where maybe he was trying, but even with him trying he's completely refusing to communicate with his team's advice even at 0-10-0 adc which is not reportable anymore. Ultimately we lost the game. It wasn't because the other team was stacked, It was because 1 player refused to take any advice and ultimately would just walk into the other team and die.

If you honestly think someone is intentionally feeding, then go ahead and report them as such. If they do it often enough then they will get punished. Sometimes you really can do that bad unintentionally, and not really doing anything different from normal. I went 1/11/3 once on my main. Never done worse, but I didn't do anything differently than I normally would, I was just getting camped and my ADC was horrible and the enemy was far superior and I was probably on tilt; a combination of bad situations is all it was. But since I don't do that normally I'm not going to get punished for it. Someone who does do it normally might.

I think it's pretty obvious if someone is purposely walking into the enemy to give them a kill, or trying to make a play and failing miserably.

If it looks intentional, report it.

Having a "bad game" never turns into intent feeding. The only thing that counts as intentionally feeding, is intentionally feeding. (Sorry don't know any other way to put that)

In a bad game he may either :

A) Tilt, and start playing worse, or not caring/trying as hard. This is** not intent feeding**, but generally can be reportable by other things. B) Tilt, and start running down lane on purpose and giving free kills. This is intent feeding. C) Tilt, and start feeding (on purpose), but may try to ACT like he isn't doing it on purpose and act like he is just playing poorly. This is intent feeding Which is exactly that "grey" area you were talking about, in which case if they played so badly you legit think this could be the case, I would say it's generally safe to report them for intentional feeding.

This is all just my personal opinion

Normally, people can't change their ways of play in 1 game / with just 1 advise. Esp in the lower ELOs like where I'm at in Bronze1.

I'll definitly be a bit more critical if they are in the higher tiers.

When does "having a bad game" turn into intentional feeding\

You'll know it when you see it.

So I didn't harass him at first but after a while began to give him advice a a ADC main.

My advice is to never even bother trying to give advice to someone struggling during the match unless they ask for it. The player is already feeling like poop after getting crushed in lane, odds are the last thing they want to read is a how-to-ADC guide from the know-it-all ADC main teammate. Regardless of how well intended and worded your critique may be, it won't be received well 99.999999% of the time.

I think its hard to know the difference between having a bad game and feeding. Like I have gone 0/3 in lane before, but I still participate in team fights and I can usually get some assists and kills. I think the lower the ELO the harder it is to tell. Now I'm pretty terrible at this game, hence I'm S4, but I have been in lower bronze. As you move up it does become easier to tell. I think the main reason is, in Bronze players don't know when to teamfight or how to team fight as well.

I can't tell you how many times I died in Bronze 4 due to me engaging the enemy team with an ult that was waaaaaaaaaaaaay to far away. But the more I played the better I got at team fighting. Anyway little off track, I would go 0/4 in games before, I wasn't feeding, I just didn't know how to fight.

For me, feeding is when players walk into the team and intentionally die. Sort of like when people just right click then DC. I understand things happen, but if it's more than 1-2 times I think that's feeding. Just off of score, I'd say 0/10 is feeding. Especially as ADC with no assists.

In the end I think its up to you to determine who is feeding and who is not. But that's just me. XD

It's one thing to have a bad game, it's another thing to insincerely state that you are having a bad game.

If you believe he was feeding intentionally, report him for it.

If you believe he was genuinely trying, but for whatever reason was just objectively terrible, don't report him.

I honestly don't know where the line is, exactly, but I know that this is how you help influence where that line falls.

"Intentional." It leaves little to the imagination, in terms of definition. In terms of knowing for sure someone is doing it... Sometimes harder. But "intentional feeding" is when you aren't trying to win anymore. You're actively trying to feed.
