unsportsmanlike conduct reports arent taken seriously unless paired with another report category. and even though players are responsible for thier actions when reacting to them. this type of trolling has run rampant. with the new strike system. and retroactive punishments these players have even more incentive than before. and not everyone has the capacity to ignore them. especially if they are trolling. as well as baiting them in chat

it would be more to get them flagged for review faster. if they arent directly insulting players. just being passive aggressive and trolling. thier accounts get flagged slower. especially if they use premade bot games to "play off" reports. although i dont have proof. i think "unsportsmanlike conduct" is a dud report

well, you still didn't quite answer my question on what they are doing. if they are purposely trying to make people angry, you can report for unportsmanlike conduct and explain it in detail on the report like you said. i don't really think there is a need for anything else to be added.
the unsportsmanlike report does work like any other report, i've seen people punished for it.

i can imagine almost everything falling under one of the categories. i'm just wondering if there is something in particular that doesn't and no one really answered the question yet. if someone picks off meta, that's not breaking the rules. if someone says, "next time hit that stun", like Alüe said, you can report for negative attitude. if someone is just farming jungle and purposely not helping team, could report for unsportsmanlike. i can imagine that the other reports can cover mostly everything.
so far, i haven't really seen anything that can't really be put into another category. even if someone isn't directly insulting someone, can still fall under basically at least one option if it would annoy most people.

Some examples I've seen a teammate purposely let another teammate die ,when they could easily save them, or just standing there doing nothing until the enemy has low HP to purposely ks (No KS isn't reportable, but if someone is not using their abilities at all just so they can KS, that is reportable)
scazzman1 votesbasically. the idea, is to have a more specific report option. because "unsportsmanlike conduct" is very vague. and sounds "less serious" than other reports. and its probably safe to assume different types of reports are reviewed quicker than others "hatespeech being an instaban, just flaming people usually get a few warnings, and feeders can feed for 100 games straight and not get so much as a warning" even if it's there for no reason other than placebo. players might feel like theyre doing something, and trolls might think twice if they think riot is "cracking down"

i dont have direct proof. only the fact that NO ONE i have ever reported for unsportsmanlike conduct has ever gotten banned

Erdrik1 votesAh. I see your misunderstanding now. To clarify, you only get notifications if you are the last person to report them before their review leads to punishment.
If yours was one of the many reports that lead up to that review but didn't quite trigger it, then you will not get a notification. Which means there are probably uncountable numbers of punishments that your reports had a hand of leading to, but you never heard about.
