Player behavior at Diamond V has hit rock bottom

Is anything going to be done to deal with how ridiculous this is?

So far today, I've had someone intentionally feeding, not trying to win, or intentionally losing in almost every game. After placing in Gold III, the quality of games and players was consistently okay up until I hit Diamond V. As soon as I hit Diamond V MMR, the quality tanked to complete and utter shit.

This is a log of the players I've encountered today, alone:

  • Enemy Vladimir starts intentionally feeding around 12 minutes; literally teleporting into lane and spamming laugh while we kill him. Enemy team opens mid for us and asks us to report him.
  • Our auto-filled top lane AFK pushes top for the entire game. When asked to group, responds that they're auto-filled and don't care whether we win.
  • Enemy Ornn gets frustrated that his team can't close out the game and leaves.
  • Our Swain at middle barely fails to get a kill twice, claims he's done and that we should open mid, and starts intentionally feeding.
  • Our Vayne has an argument with our jungle and starts intentionally feeding.
  • Our Tristana has an argument with our top lane and spends the rest of the game AFK farming and not grouping, because 'top deserves to lose.' Could have ended the game, but jumped into the enemy fountain.
  • Our Fiora has an argument with the jungle and leaves the game.

Note that when I say 'intentional feeding,' I don't mean running it down mid repeatedly. They make it look like they're still trying, but intentionally do things that get them killed and go 'lol oops.'

This is 7 players with unacceptable behavior over 10 games, and this is a normal pattern. It's unusual to get a game where everyone behaves in a competitive manner. This has been consistently getting worse for the past four seasons, but now it's just absurd.

Not any different in other leagues tbh.. I thought it would get better further up, but apparently not.

Riots ban/report system has created a culture where this thrives. Think about it, there is no incentive to behave nice if you are on a 3 strike you're out rule. It literally have been proven in real life to create toxic cultures and communities! I'd give examples, but I'm afraid I'd get banned because of the 0 leniency riot gives for communication. (Literally furthers my point)(Public policy/Sociology nerd right here, should be a huge hint.) Unlike in real life though, you have anonymity AND have no real reason to care about your account, you can make infinite new ones (tyler1 made new ones all the time when he was INDEFINITELY banned!) You can have 1000 games of being supportive and non-toxic, but a single bad game will get you a 14 day suspension. Your account is ruined and once step away from a Permanent ban! This just turns good players into toxic ones. [zombie-brand-mindblown] There are just so many ways Riot's system makes toxicity I got lazy, not trying to write an essay. Sorry for the abrupt end.

I have yet to have even one game at Diamond V without one or more toxic players.

In one game, two people both wanted the same role, and the one who got it wouldn't give it up. So they banned each others' hovered champions. In the next game, our support spent the entire game raging at the ADC, and the ADC threatened to AFK at least four times.

This is fucking insane.
