I was banned, and have made a new account so my friends can help me with my confidence problems.

I don't know how they're actually supposed to do this, though, considering they have gold to plat normal MMR and I'm now on a level 2 account.

I can't queue with them unless I want to get completely destroyed by people with runes and masteries, they can't make smurfs because more smurfs just compounds the already existing problems with the pre-30 experience, and on my own I'm at the mercy of actually semi-competent smurfs since I'm not exactly a good player to begin with.

I don't know how to keep my chin up when the grind to 30 lacks any sense of wonder (due to me knowing how the game works on a basic level and knowing what champions do) and doesn't have a very high payout (there's so much stuff that I KNOW I have to save IP for, and you really don't earn a lot of IP en route to level 20 or 30 anymore, even with IP boosts). Then you start getting matched versus people with full runes while you're still scrounging up IP for them and leveling to unlock the last few slots.

What's the best way to do this?

I can't do this.

I can't justify spending money to get my champions back, or on a mountain of IP boosts to actually earn enough IP. Grinding the normal way takes too long, is too agonizing, isn't rewarding at all, and just completely messes with my ability to play by making me have to adapt to no runes/masteries, then continually re-adapt to them again and again.

Can't buy an account, that's also against the rules.

I can't do this. It's driving me mad. I don't even have anything else to distract me. All my friends play League. They're working on improving themselves and climbing ranked, and I CAN'T JOIN THEM.

THEY CAN'T HELP ME IF I DON'T HAVE A PROPERLY EQUIPPED ACCOUNT TO ACTUALLY LEARN THE GAME PROPERLY, AND I CAN'T GET ALL OF IT IN A REMOTELY TIMELY MANNER.

I CAN'T DO THIS.

I CAN'T FUCKING DO THIS.

IT'S DRIVING ME MAD.

WHAT IS THE SOLUTION?

I know I'm just a new player, myself, and everything is all new and wonderous to me, but, in other games where a level grind drove me insane... I always found that it helped to play the game with good friends to just shoot the breeze with while playing. Like, talking to guildies in WoW, as an example. Just play with some friends in a non-PvP environment, and chat it up with them. Make jokes, pretend to be the champion you're playing as currently, whatever it takes!

That's how I got over the level grind blues elsewhere, anyhow. I hope you can make it through them, yourself.

I'd say just bite the bullet and power through it. You can probably carry hard versus sub-30 players, even on a sub-30 account, by virtue of your experience. Playing with your friends wouldn't be terrible either, since the MMR would even out and they'd just carry against the level ~20 folks you'd be paired against.

It's not a great scenario, to be sure, but fortunately it won't take too long to get past.

Sadly, you were banned for something. I don't know what confidence problems your friends are helping you with. But relying on them to win your games won't help you improve in that aspect.

Sorry it sucks to start over though. That sounds like no fun at all.

Why is my previous comment at +3?

For real, why? I don't understand that at all.

Something I found useful when I was grinding up a smurf? Play Aram. You already know how the game mechanics in SR work, and no one truly expects you to be "good".

Yeah, you'll probably run into bots (I had games where I was the only human... counting both teams), but when that happens? Take the easy IP and report the bots.
