I got a Warning for what I thought was a legit discussion. Want to appeal against

My English is poor. But I seriously notice lots of white knights on this forum. I do not know how to put in the exact words. I dunno what is the word for it- curry favor someone? eager to please? My english is not the best. And I got a warning over it.

I wanted to raise the discussion for the betterment? of the community.

And I just got a warning for it. I want to re-address this warning given to me. Feels unfair. =( Just wanna raise the issue of too many white knights downvoting on the forum.

Any Riot-staff here?... I've been with the game since beta... 5 long years! have almost all the champs and never been given a warning before.

I raised what I thought was a serious issues.

I want to appeal against my warning. Any Riot-staff here?

Hey there. The post you had removed was removed primarily for the insult it contained that was directed towards other users. If English isn't your primary language, as you say, then this was our way of letting you know that the phrasing you were using was unacceptable.

Your post was also created in the incorrect section for that type of discussion. The Gameplay section is specifically for the discussion of League gameplay and aspects concerning it. It isn't for the discussion of player behavior on the Boards.

I removed the one your post was warned for. In general, the terms you are using are negative terms when directed at others. If you don't like the way people are posting, don't participate in their posts and make your own.

It's like they have free control of what constitutes insults... and what are not. And it changes everyday according to their ilks? Seriously there are no guidelines. The word I wrote is subjective at most... whether it will hurt others. And I got a warning for that.

Ah alright, yeah I gues Western Americans are extremely uncomfortable about public mention of genitals. I don't know why, but it's probably some really deep seated improperly instilled Christian values, at least it remains so for the people in higher value. It's okay for men to be topless in public, men nipples are fine. But female nipples are SOOO OFFENSIVE they must be censored. But in the future try to refrain some use of genitals or sexual acts to help express yourself

What you may not realize, and I assume since your English not good that you are not from not America, the NA boards are considered a safe space for league users, and any type of negative or critical post can potentially trigger a player, so they are not allowed.

A warning is just that: a warning. If you continue to post in that manner, your account will receive more warnings and ultimately be suspended. This is why we give you a warning; so you know what behavior isn't acceptable and can change. It isn't being removed.

We get it. You weren't punished, you were told to stop doing something before you get punished for it. That's all. You can't appeal it, because there is nothing to appeal.

First of all, I checked the Universal Rules- but in this case it's like they made the rules on-the-fly. How are we to defend ourselves then? How would we know what is offensive and what is not?

I didn't think at all that term would be offensive... And I couldn't find an alternative... it's the only term to describe that I know.

Like I said, it can culminate? to an Abuse of Power of the moderator.

He could have just censored me and messaged me I shouldn't said that. He gave me a Warning. That's like a black mark in Police terms- he gave me a black mark. I feel it's wrongful. =(

I dunno about u... But if the police in my country were to warn 'sternly' against someone who is innocent- That police would be at fault too. We can appeal against his actions- so at least he knows what he did was subjective at best... In a more scary term- Abuse of Power.

It can factor into the future if it just so happens that I commit another mistake? Can u say that that won't happen? It's like they marked me with a warning already- wrongful warning at that.

Did u guys watch the Making A Murderer series? Things start from just that... small warnings and black marks.

But no, I don't think a warning on these forums is at all significant. Yes, if you do a bunch more stuff it will be some factor in your punishment, but at that point it will just be a drop in the bucket.

Always be respectful to players, community members, moderators, and Rioters. Harassment and insults will not be tolerated (“just playing” is NOT a catch-all excuse).

No disrespect intended, but I feel u're one of 'them'. I just feel. Sigh. I thought that was a common term- it's an emotion towards someone or some group of people. It's a justified emotion. U just feel they are that way. It's like calling someone liar or party-pooper. Or u feel this is worse than that? Like "Some big-shot person has an army of "those guys" around him" How do u describe those guys without using a simple known term such as what I used? Sigh

That rule u stated covers so many things I can think of- How do we defend ourselves then? Can we appeal against that rule?

Not really sure what term you are talking about now, white knight or ball licker? I don't think there is anything inherently wrong with the term white knight but it is almost exclusively used as a derogatory.

No, you can't appeal against the rule. Well I guess you can submit a support ticket or dig up the boards feedback thread to express your displeasure of it, but there is 0% chance anything comes from it.

There is a use - So there could be less white knights on this forum. And we could get our messages across to Riot. Everyone downvoting everything isn't going to help.

It's like someone who only sees what he wants to see. And Blind to everything else!

Are u sure that is not a use? It does not help to have so many of those people. We need to know their intentions or they're just downvoting for the sake of downvoting. It does not help a President if all around him are those kind of people.

Check on whether there are really white knights on the forum. Check on people's intention to upvote/downvote, what motivates them. Some could be trolls who just enjoy downvoting everything to the detriment of the system. Some just upvotes everything they feel like it. Right now we're seeing so many downvotes! Check if having that upvote/downvote thing really serves its purpose. Check if there's another better way of doing this... or the amount of downvotes required to move a post down from view.

The best way to appeal this is to make a ticket. Mods often go to far and have to be reigned in. I have had to have several posts undeleted cause a mod didn't like that i called someone bad in one way or another.

Just prepared to explain everything and ask for someone who can correspond in your native tongue. It will be easier to reply this way.
