it's been 30+ minute in queue

Dynamic queue had been out for weeks, and these guys still haven't learn how to lock in their god damn pick a ban. 5 queues dodged in a row with average 5~10 minute queue time per queue. This is literally insane.

We have two things we can do here (we as in Riot's abilities)

Keep the system the way it is. Again, I don't really see the necessity behind locking in, but I've been harassed endlessly by those who care more about harassing others for being "morons" because they can't lock in.

This will... solve nothing, but hey it's a path we can continue to travel on.

Or, we can remove the function to lock-in and resort back to having it be automatic. If no champion is chosen, then that is the only time the lobby gets disbanded (besides dodging/leaving). This won't solve every issue to do with queuing but at least it will remedy some of them.

I seriously doubt that this will happen though.
