Exploding racism in League

I'm sure it's a bunch of idiots who don't know what they're saying. That's the best case scenario here, is some fuckheads who jump on any group, no matter how heinous, just to scream "ME TOO! I'M RELEVANT!". God knows League is already bursting at the seams with them.

In this case, though, I guess they wanted to up the ante. One of my earlier games had someone spouting extremely racist shit and calling for ethnic cleansing in light of the election going on right now. This kind of language is intolerable anywhere, but seriously? Riot logs everything you do; saying that sort of shit WILL get you permabanned, no matter who wins the fucking election.

come on, you complain of some bits of trash talk which have literally no effect to anybody. meantime riot themselves openly discriminates russians with their actions (not words) to force those to their own servers (it's almost surely their $$ deal with the holders of the russian server). i also remember how riot tolerated very offensive posts and image macros against latin americans on this very forum, portraying those as monkeys trying to have sex with dogs and such... but god save you if you dared to say the n word. that's how people are biased nowadays

That's why I drag-and-drop the chat window out of the screen, disable the game sound and mute everyone. So I'm never annoyed by flamers and by the sound of pings-spamming. As you say they will get what they deserve (Even if an IP ban could be more effective), so why should people give attention to that kind of toxic/racist players ?

I would just like to say that racism on the intenet (in this case in League of Legends) is not only punishable by RIOT in the form of bans, but it is also punishable by law (at least here in Sweden) as something called "Hets mot folkgrupp" which is pretty serious. (I don't know what the law is called in english) Anything said on the internet is under the same law restrictions as anything you say out loud, although many tend to forget this while they're in a game or on a website. The authorities are also pretty bad at upholding this law on the internet and I think they have to get better at this. There should be zero tolerance against racism, sexism and such on the internet, just as there is in real life.

If you think league punishes racism you are GREATLY mistaken. This is from this week. The rengar is still playing as of 15 hours ago.

Riot does not autoban or punish racism. I have posted other examples in the past.
