Can we make saying "open mid" in a ranked game get you an instant ban?
It is completely unacceptable to refuse to play a ranked game that you are in just because you think that the game is already lost.

Why is that? If I am in a game where 2 players never connected, why shouldn't we be allowed to open mid? Because Riot refuses to let people surrender earlier than 20, sometimes opening mid saves you alot of time.
In low ELO's, I agree that it's not something you should decide to do. Not ban worthy, but it sure is annoying since there is still a huge margin for the other team to throw.
In High ELO however, it's pretty common. They don't make many mistakes, and can close out VERY well. Once the early game is decided, if the losing team doesn't scale, it's a safe bet just to open up mid and start a new game.
