New "Probationary" period?
So I was just thinking while in queue about how the period that League is in now is really a dead period in the game. The season is over, there's no Ranked queue, and the people that play are just playing for nothing besides learning the new changes. Games don't really matter right now, so this would be the perfect time to allow for a new system of probation in the game.
Basically, what I'm thinking is that all players that have been permabanned before a certain date (so that they can't just troll and get perma'd 2 weeks before the season ended and immediately be able to play again) for reasons such as flaming or trolling (hate speech would not be included) would be unbanned for, let's say, 10 games or so. They can play these games on a very strict chat, with a filter that triggers at curse words or something like that. Any one action that they make that shows that they really haven't reformed or are still toxic would permaban them again. However, if they can go those 10 games clean, they get another set of 10 games with the same chat filter, and if they really have reformed, once the preseason is over they can continue playing until their next offense, which would permanently ban them again.
Not only would this system allow players to really show if they have reformed or not with no real cost to the other players (since there's no LP on the line), it would also allow them to take in the new changes of League with everyone else. I know that most permabanned players that are reformed have probably made other accounts and are well off, but it would still be cool to allow them for a chance to get their old account back.
What do you guys think?
