Is going Garen Jungle, and Griefing allowed?

Just curious I had a person in one of my matches sometime ago go Garen Jungle, not really upset about an off meta pick, but he runs into peoples lanes pushes CS constantly every time a person is about to get a kill, or get ahead he runs in and makes them recall, pushes wave up to enemy tower causing loss of XP while they are there, farm because the wave is now pushed, and refuses to stop.

Later game he just starts running around Q low health enemies and kill stealing generally not something I complain about if they are actually trying to help players on the team, but as a result of everything in general completely threw the game which was a promos.

Is this type of behavior considered griefing when a person knows its unwanted and refuse to stop?

Being bad at the game isn't griefing. You might have a better understanding of the mechanics than this player does, but that doesn't mean it's reportable.

If he knew what he was doing and was clearly griefing (which you could only prove through chat logs), then I would report.

it's not griefing.

You as a veterean poster here in behavior boards should know better.

I think both previous answers are half wrong. The reason I say that is we cannot truly know another's intent when they don't make it clear. I can decide to play way below my skill level just to lose a game if I choose. I can decide to only take kills other people have earned and then spend the gold on items so I can jungle and not help my team if I so choose to do so. I can decide to chase an enemy across the map and die in their base if I want to. I can steal an adc's farm because I want him to rage at me if I desire.

But I can also not know what I'm doing. I can also think my strategy is good and other people are to blame. I can be emotionally immature and prioritize kills over ending the game. I may not even know how to end a game, no matter how theoretically good I am at mechanics. I may lack game knowledge. Ignorance born from arrogance is still not directly grieving.

Just my two cents, don't stab me in the feels.

pushes wave up to enemy tower causing loss of XP

If the enemy laner is missing they have all the rights to do it. If you both are in lane and he's stealing CS, that's different.

No "alternative playstyles" like garen jg and AP riven are encouraged by the boards. And inting goes unpunished by the system. I watched a guy on op.gg int 11 games yesterday. Checked tonight to see if he was still playing and he is. No ban no nothing lul

What ELO was this in around? A lot of people don't really understand creep control. They just want that sweet money/exp immediately.
