Boy, 13, 'bullied into hanging himself by teammates playing League of Legends'

If this is inappropriate please do remove it, otherwise I am honestly tired of the toxic people who call others names and encourage people to kill themselves, or go hardcore onto players for losing a game, this obviously was not worthit a life for a game of League being lost...

But Nope I have to hear the "R" word, and "A" word directed at others daily in games and hardcore raging at others to the point where its not just blame for loss of a game its much much more.

This is misleading. He didn't kill himself because strangers were bullying him online. He killed himself by accident because he and his friends decided to act like dumb kids and he agreed to choke himself for messing up in game. His death was not intentional, nor was it because someone called him a mean name or told him to kill himself. So it really has no bearing on you having people call you names in game.

Okay, they were very,_ very_ dumb kids. Or at least that's what I read seems to indicate. They weren't trying to get their friend killed. His death wasn't intentional (When they saw something going wrong, they called the boy's cousin to try and get him help). They were doing something incredibly stupid without thinking of the consequences. I don't think it went beyond that though.

After reading the article, it sounds like it has nothing to do with league of legends at all. He was not upset that he was talked trash to, he was playing the "choking game" with his friends and he died like a fucking idiot. It's his own fault.

People who are stupid enough to deprive themselves of oxygen for fun should continue having fun till the end of time. If they weren't retarded before they choke themselves, they sure would be after. If you hurt yourself for fun, you're too stupid to live. If you hurt yourself for fun that then results in you losing IQ, you're too stupid to live. Either way, it's a burden lifted from everybody's shoulders.

I'm not being mean or anything, I'm saying it how it is. He did it for fun, not because of depression or psychological damage. The headline of the article is an insult to anybody who has real depression.

In California, cyberbullying or bullying is already a crime, punishable by law. So far, it seems to be working because parents don't want to have to pay an outrageous amount of money, and kids don't want to start that pipeline to prison from school because they were bullying someone.

California seems to be improving on the "bullying" thing by teaching bullies to not bully other kids, or the bully and their parents end up paying for it.

People can have such high anxiety and self judgement they will still imagine people saying stuff behind their backs, even when in truth everyone isn't out to get you.

Having worries like this is really really serious. It can be hard to picture everyone is out to get you, saying things behind your back, being covertly hostile etc. But it can happen in a school, class, club, league, and in any other groups.

It's in their head to, they just have get away from what they think inside and see what's out there. That's how I've seen others solve these suicidal anxieties.

I do agree with this point. I hate seeing people acting like the victim. I've seen it wayyy too many times. I've seen people drop responsibility, reliability and competence. The little things like "I want to waste more time" "I'm lazy" "I can't do it". I've seen 3 year-olds be more helpful! 3 year Olds aid their mothers better than teenagers now-a-days!

I agree that there had to be some pre-existing problems in a case like this. Point is that had that one last night of league not happened, what's to say help would never arrive?

In reality, there are far too many unknowns to jump to any conclusion that it either would or would not have happened.
