Feedback from a reformed player who had over 10K chat restriciton

I used to verbally abuse teammates that were underperforming. When getting into an argument or when having a troll in my team I used to lose my nerves and flame or troll back. That lead me to have several tribunal punishments and over 10K chat restricition in the past. The truth is those punishments had no effect on me.

First, I didn't experienced CR as a real punishment. I still got limited messages and would use them to flame. Secondly, knowing people never got banned for trolling only for chatissues I didn't want trolls to get away with it so I would verbally abuse them. Third, the times I got 300-500 CR I really tried to reform the first 2 times by muting all players and only playing Dominion and Aram to get rid of the CR fast in games without the stress from ranked competetive. Needless to say to my surprise i still received another CR so I didn't regarded the system as legitimate so I stopped caring about reforming. And last, even though I would report players I had the feeling they would either get away with it or receive a useless CR.

What helped me reform was the following. First all of my CR got removed and I was given a second chance to start my account with a clean start. That gave me a goal to stay reformed instead of looking at a CR until season 10. Secondly, the pop-up message telling me when a toxic I reported got punished. The instant feedback system is great. Now I know what happens with my reports. Also knowing there is a tribunal that works and punishes helps me to restrain myself. I don't want to get punished and I no longer feel the need to flame or troll back because I know I can mute/ignore these players and report them after the game and eventually they will get punished hard. Third, the punishment ladder. No more absurd amounts of CR. Simply CR that leads to 2 weeks ban that leads to permaban. Last, Hextech crafting. Giving positive players rewards and excluding toxics really helps me to stay positive because I know I would only put myself in disadvantage if I start flaming flaming/trolling back.

So that is my feedback and I hope the system will succeed in reforming and preventing toxic behavior

I think you're the only person I've ever seen that appreciates the instant feedback system. That's really great feedback to see. We used to get a ridiculous amount of complaints about it on these boards, "Why am I getting this message when X bad thing happened?".
