why does riot permaban people that is by far the dumbest punishment i can think of....Like all your doing is pissing off loyal players and clearly you can care less about your player base! I mean you cared about the players when they spent hundreds of dollars on this game and you riot are to scared to ban people like trick2g or other peopel who basically carry the player base. Who cares about LCS when streamers like gosu and trick are probably in fact better then lcs players but the fear of banning these people for what ever reason would be to risky becuase of the back lash why do they get special treatment ? But anyway back to what i was saying whats worse then permabanned is chat restriction thats annoying and far far worse then permabanned. Why because A. you still keep the player base and B. stops people from being negative and C. screw permaban permachat restiction is a far worse punishment

Because players who are permanently banned have usually ruined countless games for large numbers of other community members. It's not about finding the "worst" punishment for the perpetrator -- it's about saying there is a line drawn on who Riot does and doesn't want playing its game.

I believe the statistic is that something like 0.006% of player send up permanently banned, if I recall screencapped reform cards correctly. That's a drop in the bucket in terms of money to a company like Riot. Conversely, a permanent chat ban just means that players may end up in a game with someone who tilts easily, can't communicate, and may well find other ways to express toxicity.

Thus the permanent ban -- it inconveniences fewer community members, and sets a good line for what Riot expects from its community.

LoL has something like 100 million unique players every month. They won't miss a few potty-keyboard babies. Really.

I don't agree with anything you saiid, but at least it now makes sense. It may not be your first language, but if you actually want to have dialogue, it's important to articulate your thoughts in a manner that anyone can understand.

Please tell me you are kidding. Gosu is currently a sub for TSM and Trick2G had/has a team that came in dead last in the NACS
