the people who go around silently downvoting "often multiple times on smurfs" are obnoxious. and often. theyre doing it to make it less likely other people see your post

Why are you assuming people are downvoting posts multiple times on different accounts? Even if this happens, I imagine it's rare.
The reason you shouldn't require a post is sometimes, I agree with everything the other comments said but not the OP. In those cases, I don't want to add noise to a conversation so I just silently upvote/downvote.
I think, Scazzman, your opinions are just legitimately unpopular. I've read many of your posts and they are generally rather negative. I would just think that maybe you hold very different opinion than the majority of the posters in this board. I would not assume that there is some conspiracy against you.
I have seen no evidence that this actually happens, except maybe in the Concepts and Creations board.

Doesn't that kinda go against the point of the voting system? I mean I think it's stupid and unnecessary since the forums now have an actual moderation crew, but bumping a thread that could potentially be spam or some other garbage just to downvote it doesn't make sense.
Perhaps it's make the community grow up, which it should, they need to look in the mirror.
