Just started ranking after two years of playing normals

Carried and won my first 8 games. In my 9th, one of my teammates had a bad game and fed an Irelia 8 kills in laning phase. This cost us the game.

My question is, how do people deal with this sort of thing? It's never bothered me in the normal games I've played until this point but now that I'm trying to rank up it actually matters. It's so upsetting to see my LP DROP from 100 to 84. I ended up reporting the guy for intentional feeding even though I'm sure he was trying his best, and reporting the fed Irelia for carrying so hard and ruining my game. I know that's not fair in the slightest, but I needed to do something to channel my distress.

How to most people cope with losing a ranked game due to teammates?

Because of things like this, Riot has a harder time punishing people who actually do intentionally feed.

and reporting the fed Irelia for carrying so hard and ruining my game.

wut

false reports isn't the answer. If someone tilts you, just take a break and come back later when you're feeling better.

For that, look to your first sentence.

That's great work. You played well. Your team played well, and as a result, you won EIGHT games in a row. That's not pocket change. So, when you see the LP drop from 100 to 84, and where nothing seems to go right, try to think about the EIGHT games where things did.

LOL thought I was the only one. I do this too. If you're playing ranked and dying close to 10 times before 20 minutes, fuck it has to be intentional. I would think anyone that bad would know better than to play ranked. If play ranked knowing that you can't lane properly and you feed its intentional feeding.

I mean, I get people who flame and go 0/10 all the time. As long as u get more fed than their fed person, you can carry :^)

Thanks for the suggestions guys. Reporting people does make me feel much better, so I think I'm going to start being very liberal with the report button. For instance, I just lost my first series, so I reported my teammates for not carrying and the enemy team for winning. Now I'm refreshed and ready for the next game.

And this is why we can't have nice things.

It's bad enough your average league player will report for even the slightest trash talk, but this? Come on. Lose with dignity.

I know this might bring a lot of downvotes raining down upon me, but my advice is to duo with a friend. In my experience, it takes a lot of the stress out.
