Double standards on the boards

So I made a post 4 days ago about Neeko, needless to say the post was not popular and got downvoted 30-something times. One person in particular posted "Straight people, always wanting to out us gays" I responded with "Gay people, always wanting to invade our stuff"

My response got removed yet the original response is still up. I'd definitely like clarification on this double standard. Both comments were clearly intended as jokes. If mine got removed it would only be FAIR and make sense that the rule was applied equally and the other post was removed

Your post got removed because it's talking about gay people 'invading' things. Makes it sound like they shouldn't have a right to say or join in certain aspects of life. It doesn't sound like a joke to me when put that way.

Their post stayed because it's the same as saying "Always casting us out" or something along those lines. Neither response is that great but yours is something I can see others taking the wrong way.

Shouldn't this be in "Discuss the Boards"? or GD.

A few weeks ago someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed and a bunch of people got a random 1-day ban. Then suddenly there was close to no moderation for a few days. Maybe its all in my head, but I have always been very acute in sensing these things. Maybe I'm psychic! Bhhhaaaw! XD
