Couple Personal Questions About Behavior

So, I'm gonna start trying to do this because I think it will help me tilt less, and I have a couple of questions to ask because I don't want anything bad to happen to anybody innocent. Anyways going on with the topic.

I'm going to start muting people on the first toxic/tilting thing they say. The problem is after this I can't tell if they're toxic all game, so do I report them or not?

If I do report them can I get banned for false reports, and can they get banned even if they weren't toxic?

If I do not report them how will I know if they were toxic or not and did deserve a report?

Anyways thanks for reading this post.

More often than not, if people are toxic in chat they usually stay toxic and trash about despite being muted. But even at the first sign of toxic behavior in chat can warrant at least a report. They might not get punished, and that usually only happens if they show signs of continuous problems like that. As far as i know no one has ever gotten ban from false reporting someone. Especially since if you do false report people it just makes your report count for less. But im sure theyll understand that some people will report very minor stuff, so it probably wont hurt you in the long run unless you start reporting basically everyone falsely.

Report everyone, ask questions later.

I would say that you shouldn't mute immediately and wait to mute until you have enough violations to warrant a report. I get your dilemma, but you shouldn't be reporting an individual for saying a single toxic thing at the beginning of the game. The report function is really intended for people who are toxic for a majority of the game.

the rule of thumb i go by is this. "if you have to mute. dont report" "f you have to report dont mute"

It all depends. I have this thing called the "B" meter, b standing for you know what.

If it fills up for that particular person, then they're a "B" and I'm reporting them at the end of the game. I won't ask for reports, I won't ask for anybody to do anything, I'll just tick tick submit.

I'll call them a "B" out loud to myself (not in chat) once they've passed the point of no return and if let's say I was helping them (nuking camps with spells to lower hp and letting jg clear it faster) I'll no longer do that for them and instead I might decide to "accidentally" take a few instead.

I'll usually give people a few chances, but sometimes a single statement fills up that meter instantly. If it's someone who's deliberately lying or literally picking fights with everyone despite not everyone picking a fight with him/her then that just gets under my skin. That's what we'd call "super snake".
