The Attitudes of Ranked are Attrocious
Why does it seem like 75% of the normals games I play, the players are actually nice, or at least neutral in their outlook on each other. But every single ranked game I queue up for is a mess? In the 50ish ranked games I have played this season, I have reported 2 or more people in over 40 of them. Each of the 6 ranked games I played this past week I have reported 2-4 people per game, and have received 4 Instant Feedback Reports (That's more in a week than I have gotten in the 5 years I have been playing COMBINED). I understand ranked is more competitive, but seriously? Every single game you queue into is filled from the start with flaming, people giving up, people leaving, spamming ff votes from 15 minutes onward, it's just ridiculous. The automated system needs an overhaul in my opinion, because everybody knows how it works now. I have seen very few of these people curse someone out or use any zero-tolerance phrases, but the level of toxicity is just as high. When the vast majority of the toxic players have figured out the system and are working around it for weeks, it needs to be adjusted. As volatile as the balancing is in the game, the community turns me away from League more than anything else.
And yes I know, "Just mute and move on." But that is not a solution, that's not even a temporary fix. The way of dealing with people who are intent on being incredibly toxic from champ select/first two minutes of the game onward should never just be "Ignore them until they go away in half an hour." Sorry for the rant.
