The chat system makes no sense

I just got out of a game where I was flamed by all 4 of my teammates throughout the entire course of the game. Starting at around 7 minutes and continuing well after I muted them 15 minutes in. They spent the entire game spam pinging me, flaming me, berating me, calling me things such as a "f#cking dumb#ss", as well as implying I should kill myself.

Yet, after reporting all 4 of them for their behavior, none of them get punished. Instead, I received a 10 game chat restriction for my responses. Now I am not saying it's unjustified, I did lose my cool. But the chat coming from my keyboard was nowhere NEAR the level of toxicity I was facing from EACH player on my team. Unfortunately, I did not copy the logs and have not received anything in an email yet. But this is not a "pity me everyone else is awful and I'm a saint" post.

I just am curious how I can get a restriction for saying things such as "you guys threw your entire lead for the sake of flaming me" and "No, I don't jungle much because every time I do the lanes lose and then flame the jungler". But 4 people telling me I should die walk out without so much as a slap on the wrist.

So just a fair warning to all of those who, like me, try to just ignore chat instead of instantly muting. Be careful of your replies, because apparently defending yourself against an entire team telling you to kill yourself is unacceptable.

Edit: Adding in the logs, in my eyes I see myself being fairly passive aggressive, but compared to the rest of the players (which coincidentally you cannot see when it comes to punishments), I was nowhere near their level. Also, the one player asking me for personal information so he can "prove to me that he's not a kid" is uh. Strange.
