What is with people's attitude now a day?

Just had a game, our team was behind because the jungle is very bad and enemy has a jg/mid premade camping bot. We lost one poorly fought teamfight. I was the only one survived in team but I was a zilean mid so I could waveclear very well and enemy was too low to take any towers. I was like "thank god we didn't lose" and my team just suddenly surrendered. Holy crab we were only a bit behind why they surrendered?

Their answer was "you can scale up but our jungle's stupidty won't scale up and this game is no fun anymore".

WTF? Why are people being so toxic while negative? I still remember the good old days where as long as the nexus has 1 hp left the team will fight for the victory. isn't that the whole point of the game? It is so sad to watch my nexus explode when only 1 tower has fallen in the lane.

A lot of people, myself included, are probably getting really tired of the really poor play showing up in games lately, especially in ranked. I just got out of a 58 minute loss, had two team members who were completely oblivious to the map and how to play in general, they placed 7 wards between the two of them in that 58 minute game.

It's maddening how poorly people are playing in this meta. The game isn't new, it's very straight forward and people still manage to get to level 30 and acquire little to no understanding of how to play.

I personally try to keep my mouth shut but sometimes I just can't help myself. Low ELO is probably the worst it's ever been because I can't possibly imagine this game getting as popular as it is now if it was like this in its early years.

EDIT: I'm not saying it's okay to rage or be toxic but simply stating my opinion as to why people are doing it so much.

This game is pure troll now. Passive troll mainly, since Riot allows such behavior and penalizes anyone who rages. I and my ADC just carried a game, carried so far as to having the two of us push bot lane, into the base and taking out both towers and having 3 hits left to win. Our trolling Mao (top) wanted to cs the entire match, pointlessly, since I had already essentially ended the game (so I thought). Nami (supp) decided since Graves (jg) was feeding, she would to, "cause it's just a game"... Cait (adc) and I lost that 2v5, with 3 hits left on the enemy inhib.

The kids who are joining lately, are what most of us refer to as COD kids. They only want to farm gold and get kills. They don't care about wins or losses, just K/D. Once they get past that first 20 minutes of farm/poke/hopefully get some kills, they're bored and just want to roam jungle and cs. Never will they push or defend towers.

This game is dead. It has become 100% about finding people who actually take the game seriously or can play competitively and trolling them into a rage. That has become the reward for game play in League of Legends, pissing other people off. Seems to be a great payoff for this kids with no potential and no hope... They don't need to learn anything, no work required, hell they don't even get punished... It's all payoff for them, all downfall for any serious players.

Season 6 killed League of Legends.

League of Legends has always been a garbage community. I've been playing since 2012 and still meet the same. The tribunal is very ineffective at banning the real toxic players since the game started, not just in 2016.

For bad players, the issue isn't DQ. They've always been bad.

Sometimes I get these games in league where someone acts so strange and toxic that I kinda get a very deeply disturbed feeling. Like I feel as if I'm in one of those nightmares where the norms of the world are the complete opposite of what they really are so everyone acts really gross. Like I'm salty but I make sure I'm not deeply disturbing them in the process.
