Inconsistent moderation on different servers; NA "docile" server

I just got a 10game chat restriction on NA. Saying stuff, I feel, will normally not get me chat-restricted on the more "competitive" servers. To be honest, what I got punished for is just daily banter on the Garena servers.

I play on 4 different servers. We're a global community. I've read accounts on reddit and on the boards that people perceive Korean servers to tend to be more toxic. Things like mids going afk if the jg took his blue. I agree with that and seen it happened. Cultures are different. Certain servers are simply more competitive. NA is really a docile server.

The problem being that your various servers serve players from all over the world. Unless u impose an IP ban/restriction. Now, my question is -

For someone who came from a "ghetto/tough and gritty" server, he will not be able to immediately gauge what is tolerant on the chat in games on a server. We can try to be nice people but banters are a norm on tougher servers. I'm not sure if the automatic moderation capture keywords or something. Or some keywords are simply not registered/captured on servers of other regions. It's almost culture-shock for players from other servers. In a sense, there is inconsistency on moderation on the different servers. And some players were punished because of this inconsistency. I agree we should try to assimilate ourselves into the server we play but that takes time.

Another problem is that the moderation process seemed to be different too. For example on Garena every time u report someone, it says an email is sent to the moderator. That's not how it works on NA I think.

pardon my english.

I would not really entertain comparison to Garena as they have known problems with moderation in that even players who purely run it down mid don't get punished.

That being said, feel free to post your chat logs and show us just what "banter" you used.

Behavioral systems are certainly different in different regions.

Riot has programmed the IFS to learn from the community reports. If the community decides not to report someone, the system will assume that the community is ok with what was being said.

Riot what's the communities to drive the behavior, and not themselves at the top making all the rules.

Going afk over a perceived slight is more "competitive"

...banters are a norm on tougher servers.

If it gets you punished here, then it's very clearly not banter that's a norm on those "tougher" servers.

NA server is just super fucked up. It is the opposite of Garena. You aren't allowed to type ANY negativity AT ALL on NA server.
