Why is Tyler1 still banned but other steamers are free to go?

I'm not someone who thinks Tyler1 was right in what he did, but he seems to have actually reformed. I heard before his "Ban on sight" he had leveled a new account while being completely non-toxic despite people trying to make him angry, and has been seen on some streams (Iwilldominate) acting fine. Meanwhile Meteos inted all of new years, Kacey afk's in games, and not a single punishment for either of them?

Hell Jensen had a "tyler1" treatment for the same things except he actually DDoS'd people, something that can get the other person banned (And I believe is illegal in the USA) but it was lifted so he could play competitive? Riot, why can such a double standard exist? I'm not saying unban Tyler's old accounts, but let the man play on stream. He's pretty funny, and he's a great cook! [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

Regardless of what is shown by him or watchtyler, it's been confirmed that his new accounts have some marks on them for behaviour. Yes, he has improved. Is he 100% non-toxic, unlikely.

If he had made this kind of change before they indefinitely banned him as a person, he likely wouldn't have been banned the way he did.

Also note that "indefinite ban of a person" doesn't mean "forever." It just means that the ban doesn't have a confirmed hard ending date.

Jensen received a one year suspension from league. After that year was up he was allowed to create a new account and start over. He never got his old accounts back. And since that time he has proven that he reformed.

Kacey probably should be banned.......from league and twitch, lol.

Iwilldominate and other players have all received punishments and lost their old accounts. However the game is lenient and allows players to create new accounts and offers them a chance to improve their behaviour.

The fact of the matter is that Tyler1 went above and beyond standard toxicity. He managed to get over 20+ accounts perma banned for his behaviour. He ruined countless games and furthermore advertised it as entertainment to his viewers. That is why he is a special case. And even tho he appears to have improved, Riot confirmed that he was still getting reported and receiving punishments of accounts he is currently making.

From what I have researched his "toxicity" finally caught up with him. This means riot probably had enough reports to do something about it. But from what ive seen its for the better. The less toxic streamers and players we have the better the community can heal

Im not toxic. I have no reason to get toxic over a video game

I mean sure other people have inted but Tyler1 has done it a lot more and has consistently done it for years and a lot of people were taking his stream as encouragement to be toxic as well.

He ran it down mid, would state "ks" on literally every kill he didn't get, bought 6 tears, flamed his teammates to shit, etc. I love the guy, I think he's funny, and I agree that he should deserve that second chance, but he has had infractions on recent accounts, that's why they're skeptical on the whole thing.

Tyler1 was so incredibly toxic that he changed the entire game. I'm some random casual player nowhere near his skill level, but despite having a 0% chance of every playing with Tyler1, I've lost games due to his fanboys locking Draven and running it down mid saying "For Tyler!" or similar.

Let that sink in. Tyler1 was so incredibly toxic that he influenced games that he wasn't even a part of .

I think we're beyond reformation and evaluating his conduct in the present. Tyler was so fucking bad for the game that his black mark on League will endure indefinitely. Riot wants somebody like that as far away from their product as possible, regardless of what he's doing at this moment.

What I don't get about the people who want Tyler1 unbanned is how they don't understand it doesn't matter if he is reformed or not. The ban was permanent. Not "TBD at a later date pending reformation."

There comes a point when you screw up so much, that a line is drawn and that's it, it's over. This is not a reformation project by Riot where Tyler1 is allowed to come back and play if he behaves. It's a punishment for the dozens of accounts he went through and the thousands of games he ruined.

It matters 0 of he is reformed. That ship sailed a long time ago.

Some criminals are allowed out of jail on bail before their trial since they are not considered to be a risk to society, others are not granted that freedom because they are considered to pose a much higher risk to society.

That said, this post seems like it would better support the argument to elevate the punishments on those other players rather than to lighten the punishment on Tyler1.

I would much rather we ban more hackers / int-feeders / trolls than unban one.

Colgate Gator6/27/2017, 3:19:42 PM1 votes

Because he has had over 20+ accounts banned and Riot decided he isn't welcome to play anymore, that's why.

RookPusher6/27/2017, 3:21:32 PM1 votes

No one of worth cares about him. It's bad trolls who don't have any other cards to play that bring him up.

Stars Shaper6/26/2017, 6:00:48 PM1 votes

Them streamers still haven't reach 27 permanent bans probably.

Edit: I'd be using the ironfist anyway with all such ppl. Making views/subs with extremely toxic behavior should grant you a ban for life.

I was seeing Tyler 1 fans copying his behavior in my own games, because they looked up to him and thought he was getting away with it. Not just copying bad behavior, but literally citing him as the reason they wouldn't get banned. To my knowledge he was actively encouraging that behavior.

The worst I've seen from another steamer was Kaceytron, but her fans weren't emulating her. People watched her to rage at her and take out their frustrations. People have played the game drunk before, and people have raged at their monitors before, I don't think that it's a good idea to ban the person (instead of the account) over that.
