Muting People

I've never muted anyone before because I didn't want to limit team communication. Last game I had a toxic jungler saying the craziest stuff like being 2/2/0 was feeding. He wouldn't shut up so eventually I muted him and my God, the game was SOOOOO much better because of it. I didn't realize how on tilt he was making me. We had been losing up until that point but as soon as I muted him we started winning team fights and I started playing a lot better.

I'm definitely going to make use of the mute button a lot more in the future. It makes the game bearable when you have a toxic player on your team. I know a lot of people are opposed to muting people and would prefer to argue with them but I implore you guys to try it out, its way better than arguing with someone who isn't going to listen to you anyway.

He was tilted himself. You might have un-tilted him by simply ignoring him and continuing to play. He was probably trying to type away his frustration. Many people need to communicate them even if it's to the wind, if they think someone may see it they feel better. League could probably secretly ignore people and they'd see an across the board performance increase cause they wouldn't even know they're voiceless, and others wouldnt have to hear them... I would be perfectly fine not knowing they cant hear me as long as I think I'm being heard... Sad facts of life.

if I feel remotely tilted, I just type /mute all and within 20 seconds I'm all focused and on-point... sometimes I just mute all to focus in general. thinking about chat is a distraction to me, just in and of itself..
