I think that no, it shouldn't be the default. But I do think that there needs to be an option to MAKE it the default. I mute everyone at the start of every game, and it would be great if everyone started off muted for me.

It's actually sad that this is something people are thinking about, shows how "awesome" this community can be :/. But i think about that as LAPIS, it should be an option, not a default.
