Why should I lose ELO for a teammate abandoning the match?

Recognizing the current "Leaver Buster" system:

• Hardly punishes players until they have already ruined the match for dozens and dozens of players/teammates.
• Severely penalizes teammates of leavers.

Suggestion:

• Winning team still gets normal +LP for a win
• If the team with the leaver wins, they get normal LP gain and losing team gets normal LP loss.
• If you disconnect and don't reconnect within the 5 minutes (or before the game ends), you lose TRIPLE LP. First time, every time. Should be around -60 or so. This is not that punishing for someone who leaves the acceptable 1-2 times per season due to an emergency or power outage, but will sink habitual leavers down quickly.
• Teammates of the person who abandoned have their LP losses reduced by 75% if the d/c is within the first 10 mins, 50% if within the first 15 minutes. There is simply no reason that people who have a teammate throw the match should be punished.
