Poll: Which player behavior feels the worst to play with?

I had to vote "Giving up".

While yes, verbal abuse, constant disconnects/leavers or intentional feeding are hella stupid at least in my experience they don't happen nearly as frequently as the "I lost my lane, ff15" type of behavior.

They're all pretty bad, and the specific worst (to me) varies based on the circumstances, to the point where the poll seems somewhat arbitrary.

It's like if I asked you: "Which would you least like to eat?"

1. An entire bowling ball.
2. A pound of thumbtacks.
3. A 3-foot piece of chain.

Is there a "best" answer? Probably, but how is that data helpful, especially when eating all of them can be avoided (or, in this case, punishing all of them is possible)?

It's the person that doesn't tread into hate speech or outright verbal abuse, but just doesn't shut the fuck up and play the game. Whine, whine, bitch, bitch, moan.

I have to vote verbal abuse.

If people give up (sometimes I'm guilty of it too) or goes feeding, I don't mind so much because in all reality, usually that marks the game was over to begin with. But I can't stand flaming and blaming others in chat, whether that person is at fault or not, being an asshole in that type of way is the worst thing.

I rather they leave or feed, and we can just let the game end, than to have them stick around and agitate teammates.

While all of them suck, it gets under my skin more when its players who are close minded and expect the game to be played exactly as he or she wants. Flaming the way you're playing your own game from an off meta pick to the way you build and/or pilot a champ (with valid intent mind that).

Used to tilt me so much when others pinged all of my items even if I'm doing fine; even a potion or control ward too. Now I'll sometimes just ping it right back and keep playing.

That being said, I am still on a pretty lengthy hiatus so my recent history is ARAM, spotty, and sloppy as is lol.

It's gonna take 3+ players for the verbal abuse to affect me, so I'll go for something that isn't on the list: people who refuse to surrender lost games. Fucking annoying.

Other: Bad players. I'm not talking about complete noobs or 5 year olds, those are easy to spot. I'm talking about people that are clearly bad and become even more stubborn the moment you point out that they should adapt. I've seen people defend such players but honestly it all feels pretentious. Because they subscribe to a twisted idea that inting is somehow more intentional than INTENTIONALLY ignoring reasonable criticism of your play, just because all you care about is doing what you want over playing for your team. What's worse about these kinds of players is that firstly Riot doesn't put any effort into a system that would penalize them for misconduct. Secondly and lastly, bad players are worse than even AFKers since AFKers at least give you a chance to funnel XP to less teammates which in lower elo gives a slight chance for you to carry. A consistently bad player however, will be constantly providing enemies with more resources while also depleting yours without being impactful. So there

The ones that ragequit on purpose, don't listen to any sort of advice on how they can win the game or do better, and the ones that just tell you to shut up when you try to be supportive.

People who shit talk their own team I will never understand. They usually tend to be performing the worst too. I don't understand, if you're gonna feed that's fine every has bad games, if you're gonna give up cool sometimes you just wanna go next even if the game is """winnable""". If you wanna shit talk that's fantastic! I love shit talking! But why on earth would you talk shit to the people you're relying on to help you win the game, completely boggles my mind. You have to be so socially out of touch and watch streamers who are also very socially out of touch (Dekar, ScrubNoob etc.) to be that way.

The worst are the ones in the enemy team, who are melting you and your teammates, while you are all trying hard to keep the game up and having fun, ruinin the atmosphere typing in all chat "ez tutorial", "noobs", spamming mastery and emotes. These kind of people are the worst ones. They need to insult the others to actually feel strong. They have a low autostime

Worst for me: Boosted people, people that bought the account, people lacking the basic knowledge about the game. Example: Their mid and top swapped. Our Lux is now against Renekton. I tell Lux to swap because she will die from lvl 3 on. "NO!" ..."OK" -> Lux proceeds to get killed with our Zac when they try to kill Renekton -> 2 double kills 2 times in a row -> Defeat because Renekton got unstoppable...

Btw Lux is stuck in Plat for 7 years now.. 7 YEARS with 48% winrate in 700 games....

I picked "other" just because I couldn't choose, all of those things are equally bad to me, and I just can't say that there is one that's just worse than all the others.

I might hate you back, but I would never give up a game on you. "How can you be like this? You want to loose?? Even when there is a chance to win? Just because I or someone did something you didn't like? Our towers are still up!!! We scale!!! Stop typing and just..." A summoner has disconnected "Play it to the end..." -_- reporting doesn't do this amount of awful justice.

I'd go with other. The people I hate playing with are the smurfs. Those people make it sound like the air we breath is different from theirs. As they are doing "everything" and their little to no patience of just constantly whining and giving themself glory is just awful.

Even if we do win, I just feel like I dont want to win that people like the smurfs are just going to never change.

I picked other because I think what feels the worse to me is having to put up with racist crap or ppl flaming new players and smurfs flaming lower elo players.

What I mean by that last part is plat smurfs in silver elo yelling and flaming people for not playing the game at their level. It's like, screw off....If you want people to have plat and diamond game-sense and mechanical skill - go playing in freaking plat and diamond, don't come down to silver and low gold and then flame those players as soon as they make a mistake.

Thankfully racist crap in-game isn't super common, and when I do see it I can take solace in the fact those ppl are in for a 14dayban or permaban. But sadly with old games like league, veteran players forget what it was like to be new to the game and still learning, and flame/harass new players who make mistakes and struggle in-lane. Or they out-right mock them and purposely choose not to help just to mock them more.

Such shitty personalities online, hard to find decent people tbh because everyone wants to be the attention-hogging "cool" toxic edgelord, no one wants to be the decent human being.

If you voted for words over someone legitimately ruining the entire game, you have problems. There is a mute button, learn to use it, or simply grow a spine.

A player who ints. 90 percent of the time an afk jglr can be carried while on the other hand a inter just ints. You cant do shit about it.

I agree that giving up is a problem, but its more like crying bot lane than afk jungle...

I chose feeding because.. I mean: sure? Flame me. Cool. Doesn't stop me from winning the game. You wanna disconnect or leave? Cool. I can still pull it back. You wanna go afk in the jungle? If you're not feeding them, we don't have a problem. However, if you feed my game? What can I do? Is it worth me even trying?

I voted Other, because I have ran into Racial rager that feeds and gives up on the lane and goes feed someone else, either an open top or mid constantly. That is the main problem with this game in general there are not harsher penalties to a majority of problems, because there are players who are trying are worse then someone inting.
