should flame baiting be a reportable offence?

we've all come across that guy on our team who trys to bait out people into acting toxic so they can report them along with ruining their game for them

its extreamly fustrating to deal with knowing that the person flame baiting cant be punished by the system for it because he never said anything outright toxic for the system to catch.

im not toxic by any means and have alot of self controll but having to deal with this flame baiting makes me want to afk. i cant imagen how hard it must be for someone actually trying to reform to deal with this

Most of the time flame-baiting actually involves toxic behavior designed to infuriate other players. As such, it often is reportable, yes.

Get some self-control or just mute them.

But usually it falls under unsportsmanlike.

Yes it should be, but it won't be, far to busy banning flame to ban anything else. Thought there was a use for the mute button but clearly not

I'm actually doing a case study about this right now. League of Legends is declining super fast in North America and if Riot is willing to hand over data, I'm pretty sure it is going to lead to exactly what you are talking about.

There is a strange culture of self-victimization in the NA community. No one enjoys playing. The entire game has devolved to become centered around searching for reasons to blame and report others, and deliberately losing LP to justify it.

I wrote a detailed post about this gross culture developing in North America here and it is already getting trolled by the trolls, go figure lol....
