'I can't get to the next rank, so I'm going to queue for ranked and not try to win'

Why is this not being cracked down on? Having decayed from Diamond and only recently learned of the season ending, I'm now finding it impossible to recover the LP to get back up.

Almost every ranked game I queue into right now has someone saying that they're just screwing around, because they can't drop out of Diamond V or don't have enough time to get to Diamond.

This has happened in previous seasons, but not to the extent that it's happening right now. I could ask 'what is being done about this,' but the answer doesn't matter, because it's now so late that anything done won't happen in time for those of us who are impacted by it to not be completely fucked over.

This really isn't acceptable, and should have been anticipated and dealt with, as it's happened in every season since divisions were introduced. It's not like this is a brand new problem, but an old problem that has been completely ignored and allowed to grow.

EDIT: Over the past two days, I've encountered 21 players who either screwed around and didn't try to win, or intentionally made their team lose. It's now impossible for me to get back to Diamond in the remaining time. This is really unacceptable; these players need to be punished and have their rewards removed, at the very least.

Enemy team has two players in a club called 'End of Season Gatekeepers' who are trolling. The Nunu was literally walking into our tower, dropping a stack of wards under it, and dying, then typing 'lol sry im lagging' in all chat. Later on, they asked us to report their team 'because they were being toxic towards them.'

Both of them haven't even played the game in a long time, so they're either smurfs made for trolling, or players who started playing again just to troll people at the end of the season.

This is really ridiculous.

And being trolled yet again, with someone queuing as support Ivern and going Smite + Cleanse, because 'lol its the end of the season, who cares. im not going to be banned for picking what i want'

This has now happened so many times that I am 100% fucked out of Diamond, because I need an ~15 game win streak to get it before the season ends.

there are 4 other players on your team and 5 on the other team. therefore these players Will end up on the other team more often than on yours and will end up winning you more games than you lose.

you should be happy for this behavior.

Currently losing a 4v5 because our jungle is trolling. Why? 'lol doesnt matter, end of season'

There shouldn't be a difference between ranked and normal. Normal games aren't for trolling.

Trolling and not playing competitively in the competitive game mode are different things.

Another loss to our ADC doing this.

It died at level 3, then went 'lol whatever, end of season' and started intentionally feeding. Every time it died, it would say 'lol omg i didnt expect that damage' to make it look like it's not intentionally feeding in chat logs.

also, you are truly bad at math, when the enemy team has 5 possible slots for people who don't try their hardest, yours has only 4, so the situation is to your advantage, not to your disadvantage... if it were true ofc, actually you just can't achieve your goal because you think you are better than you really are

You realize I was Diamond 1 in every season up to now, right?

It's statistically more likely that I will win, but with the season ending, I don't have time to play 100+ games for my 10% increased chance of winning to even out.

Mid lane just started intentionally feeding because 'not going to get diamond, may as well make you guys lose too'

It's now 100% impossible for me to get back to Diamond, even if I win every game and play non-stop for the next 4 hours.

This shit really needs to be addressed

To be fair Yenn, Season 6 ranked is so shitty it is probably a badge of honor to be plat and not diamond compared to the boosted monkey clown fiesta that is going to be diamond border in low plat Season 7.

You have the best excuse to as a former diamond. "Season 6 was too shitty, so I played less."

People have downvoted me over saying people should not pollute ranked in endseason by using it as a learning experience for people who probably are bronze V and ruining 10-50 games by simply not understanding the game enough as a new level 30. But by putting at least a social

There's also the problem of having to just take the L vs smurfs because people want to soft grief lower skilled players and boosting 4 people that might not deserve the W. Or throwing on a disposable aact for a team that doesn't deserve the L. At this moment its a part of the game and people losing games over someone else's stats / gameplay is now a fully grown cancer inside of the ranked metagame.
