I got mad because of a troll sup so now I am punished... Can I get a bit of an another opinion

Here's how the whole game went: I queued up for a normal game going mid/bot, I get the Bot role, Top goes Janna, Mid goes Xerath, Jungle goes Akali, Support goes Jhin, I go Vayne,

The Jhin had hovered over teemo and then switched to jhin half a second before the timer ran out... I was first pick.

In Pre-chat I ask: "why janna top? and why go jhin sup?"

Janna replies: " it's just norms loser"

Jhin replies: " because jhin is fun so deal with it"

I go: "guys uhh I am worried"

Xerath goes: "MUFFLED DODGE"

I reply : "i wanna see how this goes, jhin just don't take my cs please"

Jhin doesn't help akali with the leash and instead waits in place near red,

he autos red at low enough health to kill it and akali quickly uses Smite to stop him from stealing.

I thought maybe he was lagging badly or something so I didn't question it.

The first wave of minions was low and Jhin used Q, this is where I say in /allchat "Jhin is trolling..." ";-;" "hovored teemo in champ select"

Jhin said: "dude calm down it's a kill lane, I take cs"

and this is where I go: "I have to go bruiser vayne"

enemies asked why and I replied: "because a sup like jhin is gonna fk me up"

As I attempt to cs and play well, jhin stood under tower and let the enemy Ashe get first blood.

Thats where I go "Jhin is official trolling" and ping him missing twice while I was backing because I was low health.

At base I ask enemy team to help with the trolling jhin.

I ask jhin to show his mastery because I could at least understand why he picked jhin if he was a onetrick.

Needless to say that he wasn't a onetrick jhin player. He has a 35% winrate on jhin with 4 total games using jhin. Two of the games are over 20 days ago(one being a custom/practice game), and the other being a normal where this jhin lost. This player has only won with jhin in a Custom game effectively giving him a 0% winrate with jhin.

I repeated myself quite a lot in this game, I admit.

Most of the time it was from being angry due to the provocative statements of Janna and Jhin.

I played into their trolling hands, which was my fault.

Jhin inted and lost us the game, needless to say.

At 5 minutes in, the enemy ashe was at 10 kills.

7 from jhin inting, 3 from me under tower.

Please riot, I don't mind the chat restriction because I took the chat a bit far(probably not far enough for the chat restriction I have but still far)

but please punish the intentionally feeding jhin in that game.

The jhin even said: "I am gonna int just because your a ******* "

You lost your temper and flamed. Your other option was to just report after the game.

For the first game, its an offense to ask for a report on another player at any point. The reasoning for this is that it detracts from the game and is considered flaming.

Negative attitude. It doesn't help that you were constantly blaming your allies for your loss. That is the wrong thing to do. In my opinion, a chat restriction or a 14 day ban is enough. Anymore would require that you had already been banned before.

Husker (EUW) - 12 months ago 1 of 2 Rioter Comments Hey all. I don't specifically work on the team that deals with reports, but hopefully I can provide some clarity. To address point one of the OP - Calling for others to report a player is a punishable offense. It is a form of bullying and as such is against the summoner code. It should always be a personal decision for each player as to whether or not they feel another player warrants a report. In fact, do feel free to tell your team mates that "report calling" in itself counts as harassment. Flaming and bullying a player will never help them to improve their game mechanics, communication etc. Take five minutes to add someone and talk to them after game. Perhaps do some customs to help them learn a champion, or how to gank or how to use vision. To the second point of the OP - Don't worry about how many reports a player receives at the end of a given game. What's important is that if you feel a player truly deserves to be reported, that you do so. Don't feel pressured in to doing something by your team mates asking you to report a player. It's all recorded and all counts. As for the specifics of how the system deals with reports, I can't go in to detail. As always, the report system is a continually in development and will continue to evolve to be as useful as possible. Hope this helps!

I think that might be out of context.

Saying "report x noob" is really bad, but if someone is TRULY causing trouble with insults and/Or trolling/griefing then you shouldn't be punished for trying to get others to report that so lo g as you don't constantly spam

Except, there is no reason to ask others. Since their report wont add any value to yours. Its enough for you to report.

It may be unnecessary with the new system but that doesn't necessarily mean that someone should get punished if they really want to bring attention to someone that really DOES need to be reported.

For what reason? Your teammate(s) can see every action, every chat the offender did same as you can. If they want to report, they would. You don't need to ask them. The enemies cannot see what happened within your team chat/ping/champ select/etc. An enemy who blindly report someone just because he's being asked without much context should not even count (I know it does).

I'm not disagreeing that you don't need to ask them.

I'm just saying that flat out punishing someone who may be ignorant of how the report system works, or just upset about the griefer/troll/asshole whatever just because they were like "Hey guys, X is really trolling we should report him or her" is a bit extreme.

It's like saying someone should be arrested when they see a crime and call the police and then tell other people to call the police to make sure they know there's an emergency. Is it necessary to have a bunch of people call the police for one crime in the same area? Probably not. Should the person trying to help and make sure the police know what's going on be arrested for trying to get other people to call the police for a serious crime? Hell no.

Is this Leagues of Legend or a typing simulator game?

These are pretty negative, but also pretty mild. The ONLY reason I can see you getting banned (I assume 14 days?) is because you recent got off of a 25 chat restriction so this pushes you to the next tier, which is the 14-day banned.

If you never been punished before and go straight to 14-days, I would say these mild ones do not justify skipping tiers. If you had 25 chat ban recently, then yes, 14-day suspension is justified.

Still a bit confusing as to why though because most of my chat was more mild in the level of toxicity compared to quite a few other chatlogs

Punishment is triggered by both FREQUENCY and SEVERITY combined.

You can think of it like real world crimes.

If you commit a felony crime (SEVERE), you go straight to jail. In League, if you commit more severe offense such as hate speech and such, you go straight to ban.

If you commit a misdemeanor crime (such as stealing, loitering, etc.), you will only get at most probation or community service. However, these minor misdemeanor crimes still stay on your records (same for LoL). If you commit enough of these minor crimes (FREQUENCY), such as 3-strike, then you go to jail same as a felony crime. In League, when you commit these mild toxic offense and get reported for it, it stays in your account record, but you do not get so much as a warning when it happened. However, if you accrue enough of these mildly toxic games (FREQUENCY), you will get punished same as the more SEVERE toxic game.

You got chat restriction from this mildly negative game likely because you've had many other mildly toxic games in the past that culminate in this punishment. You are only seeing this game as a SAMPLE of a number of mildly toxic games. If they show them all to you, it will be a very big file and no one has time to read them all.

Doesn't seem too toxic to deserve a ban. I've seen worse. It's probably due to toxicity over a lot more games.

I've had 3 sups do that recently the first was inting(or really bad) as well while flaming with their trio telling me to just play. Second was annoying at first but I was just better at cs. Third was a toxic asshols who got mad that I said we didn't need to force our mid to play ap. isn't league fun
