Why Do Good Players Have To Be So Toxic?

Like really? How come? What drives them to act like this it's so annoying to hear and listen too. I was in a match where I was the adc and we were the only one's to win our lane. The whole game our jungle and top laner were chasing a singed and dieing so top towers Inhibitor was first to go. Me and Morgana managed to hold out the game for an extra 20-25 minutes because everyone else on our team kept chasing singed.

At the end game screen, everyone instantly left the game besides me and singed and some of his team. Despite me having the most cs on my team and a high kd he says this to me "You should give up that champion." and then he leaves the game. Now what I don't understand is WHY did that have to be said? I didn't say anything rude to him or the rest of my team the whole game. The only thing I can think of that would trigger that is that I was that I killed him once and that I was the only person who posed a threat to him. It's really kinda sad how usually you can't find good friendly players.

I'm not saying i'm the best player or anything but I do consider myself to be a good adc. I tell my supports "good job" when we get kills bot lane and I don't say anything rude to them when they die bot lane. The only thing I ever do if they keep dieing in my lane is give them advice like "stay behind the minions." or "Don't be aggressive." If we are going to lose fights if we engage.

If someone ends up on the opposite side of my stomp I don't type in chat to try to provoke them or when the enemy starts flaming the team ate that fed me I try to defend them. Instead of being the person that types in chat trying to make you feel bad prove that they are better than you, I try to bring positive encouragement and or relief from not getting flamed.

I really hope there is still good in this world, almost every good player is toxic and it doesn't feel good. :(

I want people to be happy :D!

Because you have to let kids know they are bad, or so Tyler says.

The truthful answer is that when you are good and get higher elo, you start to see every little stupid mistake, it may seem toxic but when we say you're doing something wrong and making dumb mistakes, it's because we are seeing it and it's just so annoying to us.

This only addresses the "toxicity" that follows the gameplay, when it comes to general assholes their skill doesn't matter.

This is also just using your generalization, majority of high elo players aren't toxic as we see how pointless it is to flame someone for doing bad in a game.

Source - 2 accounts in masters and atleast half my games go with very few words said in chat by anyone and playing with the same people over and over again allows you to see that having a bad game doesn't make you bad.

Welp where to start,

  1. Diamond (not great but not bad) not toxic, never had chat ban etc
  2. Whatever he says doesn't really matter
  3. Very high ELO players are actually much less toxic, because its well known that useless chatting/ flaming don't help the team win
  4. Calling a bronze singed good is questionable

almost every good player is toxic

i don't even know where to start with this... so because you specifically remember a few people that were toxic that also played well, all good players are toxic?

They're not. People are people regardless if they're good at league or not. Some people are assholes, some arent.

He wants you to give up that champion because you are too good on them and you pose a threat to his elo :D

certain personality types are more likely to be driven to succeed. the people who care most about winning in LoL are the people who are most likely to work the hardest at it and become better. they are also the same people who are most upset when things dont go their way.

people like me who dont care too much about winning or losing and play fun champions above stronger champions are not likely to improve as much or rage as much.

cuz it pisses that they lose because the team is bad. You say so yourself that they are good, which means in perspective, you are bad to them. I want to know why trash players are toxic.

I'm in Gold, not really a good player but good enough.

I'm toxic in norms because people in Bronze type ... to me and give a bunch of advice when they don't know the basics of the game.

Everyone wants to be Coach Madden nowadays, very irritating.

I'm playing norms cause I want to work on that lvl 1 Bard invade that is swagged out, I don't need spam pings or comments about it.

Average ELO is 1200 which is around the top of Silver V. Anything below this you are a below average player and should not be talking about the game.

The reason for the toxicity is due to the higher elo player expecting too much from his teammates. It's like hiring someone to be in charge of a cash register. If they keep giving customers the wrong change after 50 customers came in, you're going to rage because you expect people to do there job right.
